Exotek F1 Ultra Spur gears

New from Exotek Racing come machined spur gears for Tamiya F1 cars. The gears are made to fit the F103 and F104 range of cars and they are made from 100 percent machined POM to insure true roundness, they use the stock bearing for ultra smooth diff action, and sport raised lips to help shield the diff balls from road debris. They also accept up to 16 3mm balls for ultra smooth operation. The gears are available in a 48 pitch variant with 70 and 73 teeth as well as a 64 fine pitch 93T and 97T variant.

New from Much More comes an aluminium body repair tape for a variety of applications. The flexible tape is easily applied from the inside of the body and protects and reinforces not only new or already damaged shells from the rigours of racing but also safes nitro bodyshells from the heat created by the motor and exhaust system. The tape is 50mm wide and comes on 2 metre rolls.

Xray XB4 long graphite upper deck

Xray introduce this long graphite upper deck for the XB4 and XB’14 4WD buggy. Machined from 2.0mm carbon fibre the long 1-piece upper deck is designed for the use in medium to high traction conditions such as carpet and astro turf racing. The part reinforces the chassis assembly by connecting the front diff bulkhead with the central drive system, and provides a location for the body mount. The deck also captures the central drivetrain bearings and holds them in place in their supporting bulkheads.

Ryan Maifield leaves LRP for Novarossi

After much speculation about a possible new engine deal for Ryan Maifield it is now confirmed that the Team Associated frontrunner will join Italian company Novarossi to run their line of buggy and truggy engines. After being LRP-powered for a good amount of time, Ryan is now looking forward to head into his new venture that will start at this year’s Dirt Nitro Challenge in February.

Italian engine manufacturer Novarossi announce the latest addition to their factory team in the form of Teemu Leino. The quick Finn, who took TQ at the 2012 1/10th 200mm IFMAR World Championships in Thailand, will use the company’s .12 on-road and .21 off-road engines in his rides.

2014 Team Durango Keilor Invitational – Report

2014 Team Durango Keilor Invitational – Report

The inaugural Keilor Invitational was run in conjunction with this year Stock Shootout at the famous Keilor Club located in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. The event, held on the same weekend as the historic Reedy Race in the USA, was run to a similar format with the top 10 drivers from Victoria invited for 10 heads up races for 2WD on Saturday and 4WD on Sunday. Control tires for this event were a choice of AKA Rebar in Soft Compound or J Concepts Car Codes in Orange Compound and competitors were also limited to three sets of tires per day. Invitational drivers included Ray Munday (Team Associated), Andrew Selvaggi (Team Associated), Scott Rawlings (Yokomo), Mark Rogers (Yokomo), Glen Bonetti (Team Associated), Scott Cameron (Team C), Jai Davis (Yokomo), Ash Peeler (Kyosho), Ben Sterling (Kyosho) and John Watkins (Xray).

Mugen Seiki Challenge – Announcement

Mugen Seiki Europe announce the Mugen Seiki Challenge that will be held in Lyon, France on the weekend of the 22nd of June. Hosted by the CAMSE club in Saint Exupéry, close to the Lyon airport, the race will be run in electric and nitro buggy and truggy classes and sees only one rule: “Drive your Mugen”.
