Ride 60mm SC M-type tyres

Coming from Ride are their new 60mm SC tyres for Tamiya M-Chassis and similar cars. The pre-mounted tyres have been redesigned and they feature a new thin yet highly durable inner belt and the new LT insert. The tyres come on white multi-spoke rims and in colour-coded red 28M, white 30M, yellow 33M and black 36M compounds.

TLR 4.0 grey & black T-shirts

Coming from Team Losi Racing are their new TLR 4.0 T-shirts. They feature the 22 4.0 1/10th scale and 8ight 4.0 1/8th scale buggies as well as TLR’s signature while, black and yellow colours with a larger print on the front and a smaller print on the rear. The shirts are available in grey and black colour and in all popular adult sizes.

BRCA 1/10th Off-Road National Series Rd3 – Report

The BRCA 1/10th Off-Road National Series made its way down south for round 3 last weekend, at the TORCH Model Car Club in Titchfield, near Southampton. As with the previous rounds, a full entry of 120 drivers was present over the two days of 2WD and 4WD competition, with blue skies and high temperatures setting the scene for some fast paced action on the astroturf track. On Saturday’s 2WD portion of the event and despite the warm weather, traction was in relatively short supply during practice as many drivers struggled to find consistency on the challenging layout. No such issues however for Yokomo’s Lee Martin. Always tough to beat at the TORCH facility, Martin would set the pace in all four qualifiers to claim the bonus TQ point early. Championship rival and defending National Champion Neil Cragg would put his Associated 2nd on the grid with Martin’s team mate Tom Cockerill rounding out the top 3, though Martin’s gap over the field looked ominous.

International RC Car Championship 2018 – Report

The annual International RC Car Championship IRCC was held at the Centrai International Airport in the Japanese Aichi prefecture last weekend. This unique event is held at the airport’s event hall meaning oversea drivers can reach the track very easily with also the hotels, restaurants, shops etc. being within very short distance. The event was held in seven classes and as usual star MC, Scotty Ernst was there to announce the race and he even made his entry in the AOC FWD class, eventually finishing in 6th position. T-Works have introduced a POM shock cap bushing set for the Tekno RC EB410 buggy. The parts are a direct replacement for the standard plastic items, they come in sets of four and are meant to offer greater precision and durability.

VP-Pro body hole reamer

VP-Pro have introduced their new high-quality body hole reamer. It is built using a black-aboded aluminium handle and a titanium-nitride-coated tool tip. Size markings are etched into the blade for easy recognition and the blade is protected by a machined aluminium cap.

Speed King Tour Rd3 – Report

Round 3 of this year’s Speed King Tour was held at the RC Stadium Sodegaura outdoor tarmac track in the Chiba prefecture last weekend in Touring Modified and Stock classes as well as the popular Oval category. In the Modified class’ Super Pole session, Infinity driver Akio Sobue took the TQ and pole position for the A-main final after being already fastest after the regular qualifiers. Rush driver Hayato Ishioka came in 2nd to round out the front row of the grid. In the 5-minutes Modified A-main final, Akio laid down a perfect race, bringing home the win from tone to tone. Hayato finished 2nd with his Kyosho and privateer Naoki Akiyama obtained the final spot on the podium.

Yokomo Racing Performer high traction drift wheel

Coming from Yokomo’s Racing Performer series of competition option parts is a new high traction wheel for drift cars. Developed for the use on low traction surfaces the rim will offer moderate flexibility to increase traction while the inner portion allows for greater clearance with the suspension components for increased steering angles. The rim is available in titanium, yellow and white colour and it features a black painted outer ring to visually increase sidewall thickness, ensuring proper 1980’s and ’90’s old school looks.
