Sober & Bauer win at Dutch 1/8 IC Track Nats Rd2

The second round of the Dutch 1/8th IC Track Nationals was held at the AMCA track in Apeldoorn over the weekend. The weekend kicked off with sunny weather on Saturday, however Sunday was mostly wet with especially the mains being held in rainy conditions. The win in the faster NK class went to Joey Sorber who came in 1st some five laps in front of Roy Bakker as Martin Zevenhoven rounded out the top 3 results.

Krystian Kopacki wins at Polish EP On-road Nats Rd1

Last weekend the opening round of the Polish 1/10th Electric On-road nationals was held at the Novy Sacz track. In the Touring Stock class, that is run using the ETS set of rules, it was Krystian Kopacki with the win from Pawel Staszewski. Jakub Klapacz, who started from the P2 spot on the grid following the fastest TQ run of the day, had to settle for 3rd overall after some mixed A-main runs.

Delaunay take Elite class win at French IC Track Nats Rd2

Round 2 of the French 1/8th On-road Nationals was held at the Neuville-de-Poitou track last weekend. In the Elite class, the qualification was held in difficult conditions as rain influenced all rounds but ultimately it was Anthony Abisset coming out fastest. In the 45-minute A-final it was Romain Delaunay who would hold the upper hand with a progressive tyre strategy, changing tires only one time, to take the win with a margin of only one second in front of Arnaud Mathieu, while Benjamin Brasset who completed the podium one lap down.

Kyle Branson Intellect-powered for 2018

UK Intellect distributors Schumacher Racing have announced that front running driver Kyle Branson has joined the team. Kyle will be using Intellect’s new range of LiPo batteries in his electric cars this season. Kyle has chosen the IP 6000 HV3 battery as the perfect pack for Modified Touring racing to give him the best power and chassis balance he is looking for.

Tim Wood wins BRCA 1/8 Track Nationals Rd3

The third round of the BRCA 1/8 Circuit championship took place at the Halifax RC Track in Yorkshire last weekend. Forecast for the weekend was changeable, but thankfully the rain came over night leaving race days sunny and bright. Sunday saw a round of practice followed by four rounds of qualifying and then finals. Due to a damp track, Q1 was delayed to allow the track to dry. Qualifying saw a struggle for 5-minute runs with the top contenders falling short on fuel. TQ was set in round 1 by Tim Wood from Alex Thurston and John Carr.

JConcepts B6.1 carbon fibre shock towers

Coming from JConcepts and made for Team Associated’s B6.1 series of buggies are three new carbon fibre shock towers. First up is a gullwing arm front shock stay of 4mm thickness that features the JConcepts milled sections which help maintain strength while minimising weight. The three standard B6.1 shock positions remain for quick and steady adjustments in the correct position for the gullwing front shock geometry. The tower is complete with countersunk holes on the top surface to accept the stock mounting hardware, however it is not usable with the AE plastic front tower guard.

Bittydesign 1/10th on-road car stand

Bittydesign have introduced their new 1/10th on-road car stand for touring and formula cars. Moulded form high-quality 1mm thick polycarbonate the car stand comes clear and can be customised in many ways. Included is a pair of black anti-slip foam pads and while coming in handy to place the car on top during building, setup and maintenance the stand also incorporates a small parts tray and holes to hold the car’s shock absorbers while filling them with shock fluid.

Bennie Wilkerson wins ROAR Region 2 SCT titles

The final round of the ROAR Region 2 championship was held at Mushroom Bowl Hobbies and R/C Raceway in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania recently. Bennie Wilkerson laid down an excellent performance as he was able to take the TQ in 2WD Mod SCT and 2WD Stock SCT. On top of that he was able to double and win both A-mains and take the overall series championship titles in both classes.
