Trinity Monster Horsepower pit mats

Coming from Trinity are their new Monster Horsepower pit mats in two dimensions. The larger one measures roughly 104x69cm while the smaller one comes out at 50x40cm. Both are made of gaming-grade mouse pad material, they sport vibrant full-colour prints and are they thin, lightweight, flexible, easy to fold, store, and carry.

2018 Shizuoka Hobby Show – Futaba

During this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show Futaba are presenting several forthcoming new items such as the T7XC competition stick radio and the S-Bus compatible MC970CR brushless speed controller. As for the radio, Futaba’s new flagship stick transmitter is understood to offer similar features as the T7PX pistol-grip radio and it is usable with T-FHSS SR Super Response, T-FHSS, S-FHSS and FASST compatible receivers. A huge LC display dominates the front side of the transmitter that is customisable with a rear carbon fibre strap for easier handling. More information will become available in time for the release, however no official date is mentioned yet.

Beat1Racing 7.4V MP9 TKI4/3 receiver battery

Beat1Racing from Japan have introduced their new 7.4V 2S LiPo receiver battery pack specially made for the Kyosho MP9 TKI4 and TKI3 buggies as well as the GT3 on-road car. The battery measures 51x35x29mm and it weighs in at 95g. The high-capacity 2500mAh cells make for long run times and the pack comes pre-soldered with a 100mm universal-type receiver lead and 40mm XH balancer wire.

Sanwa M17 2.4GHz competition radio system

During this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan Sanwa are presenting their latest competition radio system, the M17. Understood to be the follow-up model to the popular M12 series, the transmitter adapts the lightweight design of the MT-4 series, doing away with the bulky appearance of the highly popular M12. In terms of specifications Sanwa’s new flagship model will sport the new telemetry-ready FH5 system, it comes with a colour LCD screen, a separate touch pad and a Micro SDHC slot. Other features include 1-cell LiPo operation and an overall lighter design that is expected to be over 20 perfect down from the M12S. The 4-channel transmitter comes including a RX-491 receiver and it should become available soon, however a definite release date is not mentioned yet.

Integy Race Edition competition tool set

Coming from Integy is their new Race Edition 13-piece competition tool set with matching carrying bag. The compact tool set features a lightweight anodised aluminium handle that accepts one of eleven different tool tips: Six tool tips are double-ended with 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 3.5mm, and 4mm hex; 2mm, 3mm, and 4mm Phillips head screwdrivers; and 4mm, 5mm, and 8mm flathead screwdrivers. The other five tips are nut drivers in 4mm, 5mm, 5.5mm, 7mm, and 8mm. There is also a combination box wrench in 5mm and 8mm and it’s all contained in a heavy-duty pocket-sized zippered bag for easy transport. The tool set is available with black or grey handles.

Tyrolean Championship Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Tyrolean Championship was held at the AMC Tirol club last weekend with 49 entries for the four classes of Touring Modified, Touring Stock, Formula and Histocup. The latter attracted eight entries and was run with mandatory “youngtimer” body shells and hand out 13.5T stock motors. The drivers are encouraged to use non-disc wheels for the hand-out tyres to make for an even more realistic appearance of the cars and in the end it was Rainer Tschabrun with the win from Aaron Tursky and Stefan Santer.

Infinity IF14 rear belt roller set

Infinity has released a rear belt roller set for their IF14 electric touring car. The set prevents the rear belt skipping teeth which can occur when a heavy load is applied and the belt is deflected. Tooth jumping is prevented by suppressing the belt so that it does not separate from the pulley. This results in providing stability of both traction and braking effectiveness together with an extended belt life. The new belt roller cannot be used in combination with the T095 rear balance weight.

Shepherd introduce new 1/8 & 1/10 foam tyres

Shepherd have announced their new range of foam tyres for 1/8 and 1/10 on-road cars. The new double spoke rims for 1/8th scale cars as well as the Star rims for 1/10th scale kits are made from premium-quality black composite material with a high amount of carbon making the rims very stiff, strong and ultra true running. The high quality foam ensures best performance under various track conditions and the tyres are coming in different hardnesses from 32 to 42 shore and as a special super soft “wet” variant.
