Absima 1/10th buggy tyre sets

Absima have two new pre-glued tyre sets for 1/10th 2WD buggies available. First up is a dedicated front tyre with cut rib design that is suitable for a range of surfaces. Also new is a medium-size block tread tyre, good for the use on hard-packed or artificial surfaces. Both come pre-glued on black zero off-set rims with industry standard 12mm hex and they are sold as pairs.

Absima 1/8th buggy wheel sets

German company Absima have new wheel sets for 1/8th buggies available. First up is a tyre called Dirt that features a massive multi-surface tread to tackle a wide range of track conditions and surfaces such as asphalt, dirt, grass and more. The tyre sports a 117mm diameter and a width of 40mm and it comes pre-glued on black disc rims compatible for virtually all 1/8th buggies out there. Also new are two sand paddle tread tyres of different shape. The larger tread comes pre-glued on black rims while the finer tread is mounted to while 5-spoke wheels. The tyres are ideal for bashing in the snow and sand.

Absima ASB1 1/10th scale RTR buggies

Absima have introduced the ASB1 1/10th scale 4WD ready-to-run buggies. Building on a tough composite chassis with integrated upper cover the vehicles can be thrown at all kinds of track conditions thanks to their waterproof electronics. The suspension components allows to fine-tune camber and toe settings while the large volume oil-filled shock absorbers feature threaded bodies for easy ride height adjustment. The battery compartment takes standard 7.2V NiMH or 2S LiPo packs and the packages are rounded out by pre-painted buggy bodies and a 2.4GHz radio system. The ASB1 is available as brushless-powered BL version including a factory installed 3420kv brushless motor and 45A controller while the standard brushed version comes with a 550-size 15T motor and LiPo-compatible 40A brushed controller as well as a NiMH battery pack and suitable charger.

Absima CTS8 V2 1/8th brushless speed controller

German company Absima have introduced their latest high-performance 1/8th scale brushless speed controller, the CTS8 V2. Offering a machined aluminium case and an all-new software for improved performance the sensored controller is rated a t 180A continuous current to handle up to 3000kv motors at 4S input. Usable with 2-pole and 4-pole sensored and sensorless motors in vehicles such as buggies, trucks and on-road cars the ESC sports dimensions of 44.5×42.5x37mm and it weighs in at 146 gram including fan unit.

Absima Thrust BL 1/10th sensorless brushless combo

German company Absima introduce the Thrust BL 1/10th brushless speed controller and motor combo set for the use with RTR or entry to intermediate level kits. Starting with the speed controller, the 45A rated ESC is housed in a compact plastic case and it features a large heatsink and an integrated fan unit to reduce the temperature during operation. The 2S-compatible controller offers 8 degree fixed timing, a 6V/2A BEC system and automatic battery detection for NiMH and LiPo packs. The controller comes pre-wired with a T-plug connector and includes a 4-pole 3421kv brushless motor with aluminium heatsink can and pre-wired gold-plated bullet-type connectors.

Antoine Rossetti joins TeamC/Absima

Antoine Rossetti joins TeamC/Absima

Well known French driver and vice European Champion Antoine Rossetti has teamed up with TeamC and Absima. In his 2015 campaign he will focus on 1/8th E-buggy racing with the brand new T8ev3 and he will also be present at selected 1/10th scale event to represent the brand and French distributer GVP Racing. Antoine has the following to say about the deal:

I am very excited to return to RC racing with TeamC. In the past two years I learned many things with Durango and I would like to thank them. Now it is time for a new challenge. I will drive mainly in 1/8th brushless the next year with some invitationals in 1/10th and I made this decision the day when I tried the new T8Ev3. I am pleased to be with TeamC/Absima and I hope to see you on the tracks in 2015.

Absima Combat Series competition servos

German Team C distributor Absima now have their own range of high-performance servos available. The ACS1615SG (0.09s/15kg-cm), ACS1614SG (0.07s/14kg-cm) and ACS1622SG (0.14s/22-kg-cm) are standard size and standard voltage servos that feature coreless motors, steel gears and aluminium/plastic heatsink cases. Also coming are the ACS1623SG (0.1s/23kg-cm) and ACS1620SG (0.09s/20kg-cm), both are high-voltage compatible offerings, again with coreless motors, steel gears and heatsink cases. It is understood that a range of low-profile servos is around the corner too.

Kevin Lee joins Team C/Absima/SMD

After a successful campaign with FDL, Kyosho and Tekin Racing UK top driver Kevin Lee will join Team C, Absima and SMD to run Team C’s latest electric off-road cars and Absima electronics. This is what Kevin has to say about the deal:

It’s an exciting and busy time for Team C/Absima/SMD at the moment with lots of TM4 development work and many other plans in the pipeline. I wanted a piece of this, and that’s why I am so happy to have agreed a 2 year contract to run Team C cars and Absima Revenge electronics. Thanks to all at Team C/Absima/SMD for making it possible. I plan on attending the EOS, European Championships and Japan Worlds in 2015, so it’s definitely going to be an a fun time with a great team. I’d like to thank my previous sponsors FDL/Kyosho/Orion and Tekin Racing. They have helped me so much over the last few years for which I am extremely grateful.
