Acorn Racing 12V DC power supply

Acorn Racing has just sent us a sneak preview of their new prototype 12V DC power supply. This prototype was said to go through 5 design changes before the confirmation of this current piece. The digital meter on the face shows the total amperage that connected equipment is drawing and it has 2 standard outputs compared to the single output that is normally seen in the market. This power supply comes with a reverse polarity protection and it is said to be strong enough to power a tyre truer for the 1/8 scale. ABS material was chosen for the casing over anodized aluminium due to the scratch resistance nature. Expect more information following its official in December.

Acorn Racing 4200mAh 30C hardcase LiPo battery

Acorn Racing have released this 4200mAh 30C hardcase LiPo battery. Designed using the latest technology to handle the high-current demands of today’s R/C Power applications this new series 2S1P LiPo offers extremely high voltage, long run time and superior consistent performance and true 30C discharge. Featuring a durable hardcase in order to keep the cells from being damaged during use, it also features some vertical standard Sub-C cell bulges to securely fit into standard Sub-C chassis plates. This battery measures 137x47x22mm, weighs 230 grams and is built within ROAR’s Legal specifications.

Acorn Racing Servo extension & protector

Acorn Racing has released this servo extension and protector, which is a solution to servo wire connectors coming loose. They came up with a simple design that is a small, light, easy, effective and hassle free way to secure the connection of servo wire connectors that in turn can be mounted anywhere with a small piece of mounting tape. This protector allows the insertion of connectors only when the male adaptor is fully inserted into the female. No binding or crimping of the servo wire is needed and the connectors will not come loose when fitted into this housing. A specially made 80mm servo extension is included.

Acorn Racing innovative C-clips

Acorn Racing have released its new ‘revolutionary’ C-clip design to exceed the expectations for all RC Car enthusiasts around the World. This innovative snap-on concept eliminates the occurrences of flying C-clips as the fitting process merely requires a push-pull action with the use of your fingers removing the need for an extra tool for the fitting process. Moreover, it removes the possibility of plier-shaft contact where damages are commonly found and the chances of C-clips lost due to non-perpendicular insertion is reduced by almost 99%.
