The shock stay is made from 100 percent carbon fibre and designed to limit the shock up travel to keep the dogbone from hitting the outdrives. The tower is machined from 4.0mm thick material, it maintains the stock shock angles and it has two small drill holes under the centre hole of the wing mount for notification.

Avid have introduced a rear carbon fibre shock tower in -2mm configuration for the Team Associated B74 buggy. The shock stay is made from 100 percent carbon fibre and designed to limit the shock up travel to keep the dogbone from hitting the outdrives at full compression. It is machined from 4.0mm thick carbon fibre, matches the stock shock angles and has two small drill holes under the centre hole of the wing mount for notification.

Two new items from Avid RC for the Associated line up of 1/10th buggies. First up is their popular shock standoffs now come in a 10mm version for the B74. They include replaceable delrin bushings and threaded all the way through to keep them from bending as easily. Secondly they now have their black hexes in 5mm to fit the B74 and B6.1 lineup of vehicles. They include the ever popular 2-56” screw, that is a larger thread with a 2mm head to prevent stripping.
Coming from Avid are their new capped 17mm brass wheel nuts for 1/8th off-road vehicles. The heavy brass wheel nuts are designed to help generate a little more traction in slippery and loose conditions. They will also raise the driver’s confidence that they will never come off with our aggressive serration. The brass nuts weigh 6g each instead of 2g which will aid in more traction while the capped design protects the end of the hubs, keeping dirt out. The nuts come laser etched with three small A’s and the large AV logo in the center, which are protected from being scratched off. The unique Triad 3-cornered nut uses common 17mm wheel wrenches and with their M12x1.0 fine thread they fits all modern 1/8th scale off-road and GT kits.

Avid’s new Triad HD wing buttons are designed with strength in mind for those long and gruelling 1/8th scale mains. They are 2.5mm thick, they sport a 16mm outer diameter and several highlight cuts make for a low weight yet high rigidity. The Avid “A” laser-etched into the anodised alloy help to make the wing buttons stand out and they are available in a range of colours including black, blue, black/blue and black/gold.
Coming from Avid is a 1-piece carbon fibre wing button for 1/8th scale off-road kits. The wing button is a nice alternative to the commonly used wing buttons and helps work as a template to mark the holes in new wings. Coming from Avid are their new curved and straight scissors for polycarbonate body shells. Made from heat-treated Japanese SUS 420J2 stainless steel the scissors feature precision-ground blades for a sharp edge and smooth cutting action. Ergonomically designed plastic handles are suitable for both left and right-handed users and the scissors are available separately from now on.
Coming from Avid are two new titanium chassis for the Awesomatix A800X series touring car. The chassis has been designed for high bite conditions and Avid widened the standard arm pivots in the rear 0.5mm on each side – arms further from the bulkheads – which stabilizes the car allowing to drive it harder with more confidence. The designers have also narrowed the long arm suspensions pivots in the rear 0.5mm on each side – arms closer to the bulkheads – to match the rear. Avid recommend using this chassis to increase performance on high to medium bite conditions with Kyle Klingforth, who helped develop the chassis, finishing 2nd in the Touring Modified class at this year’s ROAR Carpet Nationals, forcing other teams to fly in custom titanium chassis due to them offering quite an advantage. The limited edition chassis fits the standard motor position A800X and it is available in exclusive oil slick or standard black anodising.
