Axon TC10/3 High Big Bore Shock5 Conversion

Axon has announced its latest new High Big Bore Shock Conversion for its TC10/3 1:10 Electric Touring Car, the latest conversion denoted as ‘Shock5’.  This damper upgrade package was developed by the Japanese manufacturer for the recent IFMAR 2024 ISTC World Championship in California.  The new design and performance will further lower the centre of gravity and improve driving performance.  Features of the Shock5 Conversion include a 4mm lower centre of gravity achieved with new short shock and exclusive low damper stay.  This provides stable cornering performance and sharp feel.  They have also adopted new O-rings with Low friction micro O-ring II installed.  The use of special polymer blended silicone greatly suppresses expansion caused by silicone oil and improves performance stability.  Another feature is the interchangeability with continued use of the following parts from the Shock4 conversion – Upper cap, Spring dial, Diaphragm, Piston E-ring and 6mm Hex ball.

Axon TC10/3 Aluminium Chassis Kit & option parts

Japanese manufacturer Axon has announced it is to offer its TC10/3 1:10 Electric Touring Car as an Aluminium Chassis Kit while also releasing new option parts for the platform.  The TC10/3 Aluminium Chassis Kit (Photo is team driver Akio Sobue’s Alu race car) features a high-rigidity aluminium chassis that enhances the overall rigidity of the car while providing adequate chassis flex.  This achieves well-balanced driving performance and boasts excellent driving feel on carpet surfaces and high stability on asphalt tracks.  Already being used by Sobue, the new options for the TC10/3, which was launched last November, include an Aluminium Body Stopper which attaches to the front knuckle arm to stabilise the front end of the body, improving stability in high-speed corners.  There is also a new Aluminium Rear T-Brace chassis stiffener that enhances the rigidity of the rear section.  Using the aluminium rear T-brace improves rear grip and achieves high cornering speed.  Carbon Knuckle Arms provides a milder driving feel and improves ride quality over road gaps.  Finally Axon has added a 3g Chassis Weight for adjusting load transfer during driving.

Axon TC10/3 option parts

Axon has announced the introduction of four new option parts for it TC10/3 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  The first of these is a 2.0mm aluminium Main Chassis.  The alu chassis gives the perfect balance of moderate flex and chassis rigidity.  Lightweight yet strong, the chassis improves stability and handling performance of the car.   Also new for the car are Front Roll Posts.  The roll rigidity of the entire top deck can be freely adjusted. Subtle chassis flex adjustment is possible by changing the mounting position of the post at the front and rear.  This is a setting item that can respond to all kinds of road surface conditions.  There is also a Rear Roll Post Type B that does not fasten the rear roll post to the top deck with screws, and allows natural chassis flex without losing chassis pitching rigidity and roll rigidity.  Combined with the front roll post, it provides a higher level of mechanical grip.  Finally the Japan manufacturer has added 6mm ball bushing O-rings.  These O-rings secure the 6mm ball bushings for the TC10/3 front and rear lower suspension arms, replacing C-clips and improving road gap travel for a smoother ride.
