Axon BD10 & T4 lightweight double joint bushing set

Axon have released these new double jointed CVD parts for the Yokomo BD10 and Xray T4 for improved steering feel. The Axon lightweight double joint bushing is made from a highly precise aluminium and dramatically improves the performance of the double joint drive shafts. The clearance between the inner and outer cross shaft pins has been optimised for maximum drive efficiency and it is also very strong and durable, which dramatically improves the acceleration of the machine. The double joint cross shaft is made of high strength steel instead of aluminium for maximum precision, and the outer race is ultra precision polished. This part plays an important role in the connection between the outer and inner shafts of the drive shaft, so the high rigidity from the steel material provides the best traction. Completing the parts are machine cut cross shaft pins another key part of the drive shaft. All parts are to be used with manufacturer original shafts and axles.

Axon TCS V2 spur gear

Axon have presented the V2 version of their TCS spur gear. Tested over a long period of time in various different conditions, the new new gear is more round and the tooth shape has been optimised. The result being a better feeling under throttle and braking as well as better rolling performance in cornering. Available in 64P, all versions from 100T to 116T and 48P only even numbers from 80T to 90T.

Axon wheel hub axles for BD10, T4’20 & TRF420

Axon in Japan have produced these new wheel hub axles for the BD10, T4’20 & TRF420. Designed to dramatically improve traction, they do so on all 4 wheels by integrating the wheel hub with the car’s own axle shaft to create a direct connection from the drive shaft to the tires. Having the wheel hub axle now run on the bearings requires that the bearings of the front knuckle and rear hub be changed from a 1050 to 1060. The new bearing size, along with the smaller gap between the bearings due to the use of a smaller spacer between, further reduces rolling resistance as well as load on the bearings.

Axon TC-01 X9 series ball bearing kit

Axon have announced the release of their new X9 series ball bearing kit for the Tamiya TC-01 electric 4WD on-road chassis. The set includes high-quality ultra-low-friction ball races to ensure very low natural drivetrain drag for improved acceleration, longer run times and overall better performance. The bearings come pre-oiled with Axon’s lightweight bearing oil and they are available from now on.

Axon Core high-performance ball bearings oils

Coming from Axon is their new line of high-quality Core ball bearing oils. The lubricants are available in three different viscosities, helping to get the most out of new or used ball bearings. First up is the medium viscosity oil, a full synthetic lube that offers best possible life span, pressure resistance and heat resistance, making it ideal especially for nitro racing cars. Next up is the low viscosity soft oil that also offers very good heat and wear resistance while allowing to achieve higher speeds due to its lower viscosity. High pressure resistance ensures smooth bearing operation even at high rotational speeds. Last but not last comes the ultra-low viscosity super soft oil that offers near water-like flowing capabilities, making it ideal for all ultra-high performance applications such as 1/12th and 1/10th formula racing. It needs to be used more frequently, however it helps to extract the best performance out of a bearing due to offering the lowest natural drag. All lubricants come in new leak-proof bottles for convenient storage and application.

Axon 1/10th TC machined precision rod guides

Coming from Axon and usable for a range of 1/10th touring cars are their new precision machined shock rod guides. The parts ensure an optimised O-ring seal seat for less friction, better sealing and an overall improved shock performance and the guides are usable for Axon’s own High Big Bore and Revoshock dampers as well as Yokomo BD9, Infinity IF14 and Tamiya TRF 419XR kits.

Axon 3mm suspension shaft shim set

Coming from Axon is an 8-piece set of 0.5mm thick 3mm inner diameter Teflon shims for the use as wheelbase washers on 1/10th scale cars. The precision-machined shims are made to be used in place of standard composite or aluminium shims with the reduced friction of the Teflon material ensuring smoother suspension movement under load. The shims are usable on all vehicles with 3mm suspension shims.

Axon YD-series Revoshock dampers

Axon have introduced their new Revoshock dampers the Yokomo YD-2 and YD-4 drift cars. The big bore shock absorbers utilise 11.5mm diameter 16-hole shock pistons that run in HVF-coated threaded alloy shock bodies for ultra low friction. The clearance between the piston and shock body is only 0.025mm, ensuring minimal oil blow-by and thus predictable shock performance. New to the Revoshock is a revolutionary piston shaft seal design with the lower cartridge seals being a lot smaller in diameter compared to industry-standard P3 O-rings, which ensures the seals are not being pinched by the shock body which created a floating design that leads to virtually no friction between the seals and the shock shaft. Specially selected inner diameters of the upper S and lower SS-sized O-rings ensure the shocks are still as leak-free as possible while the HVF-coated piston shaft further reduce overall friction. The result is a shock absorber that is able to generate more traction due to being as smooth as possible. Included in the set come the shock bodies, upper and lower caps, spring pre-load collar as well as the piston rods and pistons. The plastic parts, pivot balls and shock springs are not included as these are parts that can be taken from the donor Yokomo shocks.
