DEX210oopleinv11-trophies

Team Durango got in touch to tell us about their victory at the recent oOple Invernational 2011. The Invernational marked the debut race for Team Durango’s upcoming DEX210 2WD electric buggy and whilst the car has been shown in rear motor format already, this meeting would be all about the mid-motor layout on the high grip astroturf surface. Hupo Hönigl made the trip over from Austria to give his car its first run alongside his Team Durango team-mates, Adam Skelding, Craig Collinson and previous oOple Invernational winner – Nathan Waters. Former European champion Chris Doughty from Team Durango was also on hand during practice day with his own DEX210 before heading off to the 8th scale Euros to compete.

Team Durango DEX210 2wd buggy

Team Durango DEX210 2wd buggy

The next generation of 2WD is here as Team Durango release details on the all new DEX210 buggy. Having stuck the prototype of this car in the final at last week’s World Championships in Finland, the production car is considerably different in terms of looks while retaining the same geometry and weight distribution of the car that gave Joern Neumann 5th place. The highlight of the car is the patented (pending) ability to set it up in 3 or 4 gear configuration in both rear and mid motor layout with the same gearbox. The cars backbone is the aluminium chassis plate, with moulded composite side plates, that can accept both stick and saddle pack battery configurations. Moulded composite shock towers, big bore shocks and aluminium FF and RR suspension blocks are just some of the other standard features.

Durango DNX408 option parts

Durango DNX408 option parts

Team Durango have released several new option parts for their DNX408 nitro off-road buggy. First up is a carbon fibre radio tray. Woven from high-quality carbon fibre, this hop-up part is 43% lighter than the standard kit item. It is also a lot stiffer, offering you the most precise servo operation. It allows less heat flow-through from the chassis allowing greater heat dissipation through the bottom of the chassis plate. Next up we have an aluminium throttle arm to replace the stock plastic item. This high-strength aluminium throttle arm allows you to run a strong carb-return spring on your engine. Weighing in at only 4.3 grams, it also gives you ultra-precise throttle operation. Finally, for a bit of rear wing bling, there is these gold-anodised aluminium wing buttons. Anodised in Team Durango gold, they are high strength and weigh just 1.0 gram each.
