Futaba GYC440 car drift gyro & SBS-01C current sensor

Futaba GYC440 car drift gyro & SBS-01C current sensor

Futaba have introduced the GYC440 car drift gyro and the SBS-01C current sensor. Starting with the gyro, the ultra-lightweight and compact GY440 series single-axis gyro offers setup ease and it is S.Bus and S.Bus2 capable. Dip switches select gyro direction and mode, with information clearly displayed by green and red LEDs. Also new is the SBS-01C current sensor. Compatible with select FASSTest and T-FHSS S.Bus2 systems, the SBS-01C collects real-time data on motor current, battery voltage and capacity used. It also allows to set vibration and/or audible alarms for any three functions, and use the transmitter’s data logging functions for more detailed power system analysis.

Futaba T4PV 4-channel telemetry radio system

Futaba T4PV 4-channel telemetry radio system

Hot on the heels of Futaba’s all-new T3PV will be the T4PV 4-channel telemetry radio system. On show during this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan, the transmitter sports a design comparable to the top-of-the-foodchain T4PX but with a more vertical screen and overall simpler appearance. So far nothing is known about the features but we keep you up to date as soon as more information surfaces.

Futaba T3PV 3-channel intermediate-level radio system

Futaba T3PV 3-channel intermediate-level radio system

Futaba have introduced the all-new T3PV 3-channel intermediate-level radio system. It features a easy-to-read screen for menu programming, a super-fast response rate, and it utilises FHSS, S-FHSS and T-FHSS protocols, making it one of the most versatile surface system. The 3PV is available with a choice of included receivers such as the R304SB telemetry receiver or the high-voltage R203GF receiver that’s an ideal match for brushless ESCs and digital servos. Steering, throttle and steering dual rate digital trims are conveniently positioned around the wheel for easy access. The nearby switch is for programming 3rd channel functions if needed. The battery compartment is accessed through the transmitter’s base and can hold four “AA” batteries, NiMHs or a lithium pack. The T3PV becomes available very soon.

Imbue 4PX carbon drop down brace

Imbue 4PX carbon drop down brace-1

Coming from Imbue and made for the Futaba 4PX transmitter is the carbon fibre drop down brace. Designed to reinforce the drop down steering wheel assembly the plate helps to eliminate the creaking and rocking associated with the original part. Made from 2mm carbon fibre, the brace stiffens the drop down mounting wings, and spreads the tightening force of the screws across the entire face of the drop down. Along the brace the set includes two M3x18 stainless button head screws and the it works with with Futaba’s 4PX and 4PX-R Models, with or without drop down installed.

All Japan Hobby Show – Miscellaneous

All Japan Hobby Show – Miscellaneous

As for the miscellaneous bits and pieces, Futaba have the forthcoming 4PXR 2.4GHz pistol grip radio on show. The top of the foodchain transmitter is meant to be again faster than the already swift 4PX that was introduced not long ago. The R’s case features what appears to be a dark chrome coating although we are unsure if that’s just a gizmo for the show, as we doubt a chrome transmitter case will make you many friends on the rostrum. Features aren’t available yet nor is a release date but, like previously mentioned, we will keep you posted on any news.
