Italian company GRP have new pre-glued 1/10th touring car tyres available. The V10 line includes four dry track tyres and one rain tyre with the dry tyres coming in different configurations featuring light cell or medium moulded inserts for best possible performance in a range of track conditions. The medium compound S-28 and S-32 tyres are available with light cell inserts for colder, low traction tracks and also with heavier moulded inserts for grippier, higher temperature conditions, while the softer S-24 and harder S-36 are available with medium moulded inserts only. The S-36 also feature extra stiff wheels to make them ideal for very hot weather conditions. All tyres are of an optimised 64mm diameter with a 6mm high profile for improved handling and best possible steering precision while weighing in at 95g to 130g a set depending on the insert.
Italian company GRP introduce their new line of tyres for 1/5th scale on-road bikes. Coming for the front and the rear they offer an optimised design without sharp edges in order to maximise the side bite and traction available. A newly designed carbon fibre reinforced rim does away with the need to run inserts for improved precision and a very true running wheel. A WMS called weight system allows to increase the weight of each wheel by using two, four or six stainless steel rings to up the rotation mass for improved stability and traction on low to medium bite tracks. The tyres are available in a medium, soft and super soft compound pre-glued on two different design wheels or as rubber only.
Italian company GRP have a new 1/8th scale GT and Rally tyre available. The tyre mounts on a new yellow colour rim and features an updated profile with increased radius for increased lateral grip while the lower profile improves stability and steering precision. The tyres come in a total of five different compounds ranging from super-soft to medium and also include a special rain tyre.
GRP introduce two new lines of 1/10th tyres for electric off-road and touring car racing. Starting with the buggy tyres, available soon are the Buldog 2WD front, the Conic 4WD front and the Conic 2WD/4WD rear tyre. All three sport a familiar design that makes them ideally suited for carpet and astroturf tracks while the tyres will come in a medium “B” and a hard “C” compound. GRP also introduce suitable close cell foam inserts for the 4WD front and the rear tyre.
Italian company MRP, owner of the GRP brand, introduce their latest line of 1/8 buggy tyres that cover a wide range of applications. A total of six threads are available ranging from the low profile Contact “clay” tyre up to the long pin Atomic tread for dusty and sandy conditions. All come in the soft A and extra soft X compound, as tyres including insert or pre-mounted on white disc wheels. The newly designed and CNC-machined closed cell inserts are also available separately as are white and neon yellow dish wheels and suitable CA glue.
Following many tests and trials, GRP have launched their new M04 Grip tire for 1/8th buggies. The tire features a special design pin to guarantee high grip also under dirty and dusty conditions. This design guarantees a long tread life too, also on very high-wear tracks, keeping a high-level and steady grip. A very rounded profile makes it a very smooth and fast tire, but very easy to drive, while the internal carcass ribbing reduces tire expansion at high speed, leading to better stability of the model and driving precision. Available in 3 different compounds X-A-B, with a special orange or black molded insert.
With the announcement that they will only sell their white 1:8 buggy rim, Italian tire company GRP have introduced some special coloured plastic decals. These durable decals come in 3 different colors, fluorescent orange, fluorescent green and fluorescent yellow and allow each driver to personalize their own rims to the colour of choice.
Following ongoing requests, MRP has restarted production of the GRP glowplug line, creating a new brand name GRP Plugs. Glowplugs are a very important component for the proper function of the engine and to obtain the maximum possible performance. In most cases problems or breakages that happen on an engine are attributed to a defective or low quality glowplug. GRP’s high quality plugs help prevent these problems and are suitable for all types of engines and racing conditions, with their conical turbo plugs coming in 3 different heat types, C5, C6 & C7. Following the fire that destroyed their premises back in May their production is back up and running with a new line of 1:6 buggy and 1:5 Baja tire lines now available on their site.
