HB Racing IFMAR-legal 1/8th off-road wing

HB Racing have introduced their new IFMR-legal 1/8th off-road wing. Sporting a lightweight construction with a weight close a polycarbonate wing, the moulded wing features large side dams that allow to attach 40x50mm IFMAR car numbers while a wicker bill helps tune downforce to the track conditions. The new wicker bill design eliminates the need for nuts for extra weight savings. Also included are four pairs of dimples moulded into the bottom of the wing to make mounting simple when using the popular HB one-piece wing mounts while also indicating four fore/aft mounting position choices. The wing is available in black, white and yellow colour.

HB Racing D817 module 0.8 main gears & clutch bells

Coming from HB Racing and made for the D817 nitro off-road buggy are new module 0.8 main gears and suitable clutch bells. The somewhat finer module will result in overall improved drivetrain efficiency, equalling better acceleration, higher top speed and better mileage. Available now are 59T and 60T main gears as well as 16T and 17T clutch bells.

VRP E817 aluminium servo mount

Coming from VRP is an aluminium servo mount for the HB Racing E817 off-road buggy. The mount takes the place of the stock plastic mount, which can be sloppy and move under load from the servo. The VRP mount is CNC-cut from American grade 7075 aluminium, it comes black anodised and laser-etched, and it includes three aluminium servo mount posts to secure the mount to the chassis.

HB Racing 817T series 185mm HD dog bone

HB Racing have introduced a HD centre driveshaft dogbone for the 817T series of truggies. The dogbone is thicker in diameter, which increases the strength and durability of the drivetrain. It is standard equipment on the centre/rear of the HB Racing D817T truggy and centre/front of the E817T truggy and it can also be used as a heavy duty option part on the centre/front of the E817 buggy.

HB Racing D817T 1/8th nitro truggy kit

Back in April HB Racing have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming D817T nitro truggy kit and now full information are available. The vehicle builds on the IFMAR World Championship winning D817 buggy and comes with a tough 7075 aircraft aluminium chassis. Its symmetrical design makes for better balance and more consistent jumping and cornering while strategically machined areas decrease weight and balance the flex characteristics. A one-piece CNC engine mount holds the engine in place on the 7075 alloy chassis. A complete competition 3-shoe clutch is included, along with sintered brake pads and double ground brake discs for fade free braking and consistent brake feel and a convenient, covered electronics box allows easy removal for cleaning and maintenance, and easy access to servos.

VRP D817 threaded shock & sway bar pins

VRP have released a 4-piece set of threaded shock and sway bar pins for the HB Racing D817 and E817. They replace the stock pins with the 2.5mm allen head making for easy install and removal. The threaded design allows to do away with the pesky grub screws meaning a lot less issues with lost shock pins.

Answer RC D8-series carbon fibre & alloy option parts

UK company Answer RC has expanded the range of option parts for the HB Racing D8 series of off-road and on-road vehicles. First up is a carbon fibre Ackermann plate that has a second hole set further back than stock to allow for an alternative steering Ackermann set up. The plate is cut from 4mm carbon fibre and it is usable on all D8 series kits including the D817, E817, RGT8 and even the older spec kits.

Exotek XB4 & D216 aluminium steering crank sets

Exotek have introduced two new aluminium steering bellcrank sets for the Xray XB4 and the HB Racing D216 buggies. Both are machined from high-quality 7075 aluminium and they are of a heavy duty yet lightweight design. Four extra bearings replace all bushings and crunch sleeves for the steering plate make for wobble-free, smooth and long lasting operation. The XB4-specific set fits the current and also the older spec kits while the D216 part is also a direct replacement, matching the stock geometry.
