HB Racing have released three sets of titanium turnbuckles for the D817T 1/8th scale truggy. Coming in M4x94mm, M5x85mm and M5x95mm specification, all are machined from high-quality titanium material for a lower overall weight compared to standard steel turnbuckles while offering improved looks and greater corrosion resistance. New from HB Racing is a billet aluminium 1-piece engine mount with new adjustment cam mounts that ensure a perfect gear mesh for all D8 series buggies and trucks. The new design is more reliable in case of big crashes as the engine position is locked in place and perfectly straight. It also makes adjusting the gear mesh easier and more reliable. The new engine mount is machined from high-quality aluminium, comes anodised black, and is 10gs lighter than the old 2-piece engine mount. The adjuster cams are of machined aluminium and come in 3 versions for a variety of gear ratios and are reversible to fine tune the gear mesh for new or worn gears. The number 1 adjuster cams fit the most common gearing combination. The 1-piece engine mount fits all HB Racing buggy and truggy 1/8th scale platforms.
Coming from HB Racing and made for their 1/8th scale D8 series buggy and truggy platforms is a new 2-dot B front suspension mount. This new B (+0.7mm) front suspension hanger is a middle setting between the 1-dot and 3-dot mounts. It was developed based on feedback from HB Racing’s team drivers as a good all-around setup. The B mount allows racers to fine-tune the front kick-up and roll centre as it controls the location of the rearmost end of the front suspension hinge pins. A higher B mount location makes the car smoother and easier to drive when the grip is high. The mount comes machined from aluminium and is anodised in black for wear and looks.

New from HB Racing is an option aluminium steering rack for the D418 buggy that allows a wider range of set-ups and a special new “all-back” position optimised for carpet track racing. The new steering rack is machined from high-quality aluminium for improved steering response thanks to higher rigidity and it comes anodised black for looks and wear. The part also includes a set of bushings and it fits both the D418 and D413.

Coming from Answer RC and made for the HB Racing D817v2 and the forthcoming D819 1/8th buggies are carbon fibre shock towers. The UK-made towers replace the standard aluminium shock stays and sport the standard shock and camber link geometries. They require the use of button head or cap head screws in place of countersunk screws and the rear tower is also suitable for use with D817v1 and E817v1 with the longer shock rod ends HB67820. The towers are available separately or as combo set.

Another new body shell coming out of the JConcepts labs is the Finnisher design body for the HB Racing D817T. The winner of the 2016 ROAR National Championship, the Finnisher body in the hands of Ryan Maifield is a proven racing commodity. JConcepts is here to support the 1/8th truck class with a Finnisher body which is a drop fit on to the HB Racing D817T nitro and E817T electric racing trucks. The lid incorporates pre-dimpled locations and with the slight cab forward, raked windshield and aggressive stance highlight a performance oriented core. A wide front hood scoop allows plenty of clearance for the unique D817T/E817T shock geometry available using the #HB204425 front shock tower. The body incorporates a large centre fin which begins on the roof line and finishes just past the half-way point on the bed. Extended front chin spoiler, headlight and grill protect the front-end from unwanted up-drafts during flight while the supplied decals stand-out like an 18 wheeler. The Finnisher has a built-in air escape passage on the roof which allows the customer to fine-tune the body for maximum outdoor performance. The new body includes champion rear name plates which provide additional high-speed stability and improved positioning of the rear bed rails to strengthen the assembly. Overall handling has been improved by balancing the bias between the cab location and rear wing placement which control the majority of the aero affects of the aggressively styled body.
Coming from JConcepts is a line of lightweight Silencer 1/8th buggy body shells. The range includes variants for the Mugen MBX8 and MBX7, HB Racing D817V2 and D812 as well as the Team Associated RC8B3.1. All are made of high-quality polycarbonate material and their lower weight compared to the regular weight bodies makes for less chassis roll in high-grip track conditions. All come including window masks and decal sheets.
New from HB Racing is the RGT8-E 1/8 scale 4WD electric GT Class race car. Already a winner on the racetrack, a pre-production RGT8-E driven by HB team driver Rosario Giaimo took pole position and the A-Main win in the 1/8 Electric GT class at the 2018 European Championships. The RGT8-E is based on the race-proven features of the RGT8, and adds the blistering speed of electric power. The RGT8-E has a fully adjustable battery mounting system that can handle a wide variety of battery configurations. When using shorty packs, multiple mounting points allow to easily move the weight bias fore/aft to help tune the balance of the car. The batteries are held in place securely, and mounted directly on the chassis for the lowest CG possible.
