JConcepts Carvers for Short Course trucks

JConcepts have introduced their Carvers directional ribbed front tire for Short Course trucks. The advantage of the Carvers tire is the ability to tune steering response by utilizing a radial rib to present the tire compounds to the racing surface. Typically, ribbed tires net a less aggressive and more predictable front end response which can ultimately deliver faster and more consistent races. With the 2.2” x 3.0” design, the large sidewall retains the realism of the class while providing an additional tuning option. The Carvers front tire is perfect for a variety of track surfaces. The sharp angular and directional ribs provide the ultimate in control and direction on the most common dry and wet condition surfaces. The compact tire body combined with the JConcepts firm profiled inserts allow for precise steering input and response for the most consistent laps times available. Carvers in new condition excel on low traction surfaces as well as high ‘loamy’ traction and wet surfaces where no rubber has been taken into the racing surface. Worn Carvers excel on indoor or outdoor clay tracks where a light blue groove has formed. Available in Soft (Blue), Super Soft (Green), and Indoor Soft (Gold) compounds.

JConcepts Profiled inserts, lock nuts, beanie & tire bands

JConcepts have released a whole host of new products starting with the 1/10th off-road tire inserts. Racers have asked JConcepts for a firmer and more durable insert and after much deliberation the new JConcepts Profiled insert is ready. Having the insert with proper density for track conditions pays dividends to the racer and especially toward the end of races. To add to the construction and performance, JConcepts have added cut / grooves into the profile of the inserts to add an even greater driver to track feel. JConcepts has your 8/32″ locking wheel nut needs covered, for both buggy and truck with the new Illuzion wheel nut set. These precision wheel nuts are flanged and knurled for locking security and feature a lightweight design. When the weather turns cold it’s a good idea to warm-up with the JConcepts Beanie hat. Manufactured in a durable material with JC embroidered logo the beanie has a low profile fit and finish which provide a stylish yet protective look. Finally, the JConcepts tire rubber bands have been given an update and the set now includes 4 narrow and 4 wide versions and help with mounting tires.

JConcepts T4.1 Punisher body

The Punisher body by JConcepts for the Associated T4.1 is designed to increase on track performance with its aggressive hood and cab placement for added down force. The bed area is also designed with performance in mind, there are designated areas to cut out to help reduce the dreaded parachute effect and stabilizer fins for added stability on high speed tracks. Paul Wynn and Zach Genova debuted the new body in punishing fashion at the 2010 ROAR Region 4 Championship. Every round of qualifying was TQ’d with the Punisher body as well as taking the top two positions in the A-main.

JConcepts Punisher B44.1 body

Debuted at the 2010 Hot Rod Hobbies Shootout, the new JConcepts Punisher B44.1 body’s slight cab-forward treatment is amongst the most aggressive in class giving it top notch performance. Blended wing / body design gives additional downforce to the side pods and windshield which increases drivability, corner speed and jump control. The rear base of the cab area represents the latest offering for 1/10th buggy racing featuring a super low profile design for increased air flow, escape and body placement. In addition to the newly designed body JConcepts has included 2 of the popular 6.5″ wide high down force V-wings that are commonly used around the world.

Video – JConcepts new Inverse wheel

JConcepts drivers, Jason Ruona, Paul Wynn and JR Mitch have been busy performing pre-worlds testing at Coral Springs and Tampa, FL with a prototype version of the new JConcepts Inverse 1/8th scale buggy wheel. This new wheel which is unique in construction is 2-piece with the conventional design being inverted. This allows for a very smooth interior design which resists dirt and debris build-up during hard racing conditions while also providing stability. Additionally, the interior remains in focus as it can be adjusted to change the amount of natural flexibility of the wheel. The outside of the wheel is ribbed and braced for support while being protected and capped by a dish which gives the racer the option of color or dish swaps with ease. JConcepts RC8B-e Punisher body & t-shirt

The Punisher body by JConcepts for the RC8B-e is now available. The slight cab-forward treatment is amongst the most aggressive in class giving the Punisher top notch performance. Blended wing / body design gives additional downforce to the side-pods and windshield which increases drivability, corner speed and jump control. The rear base of the cab area represents the latest offering for 1/8th E-buggy racing featuring a super low profile design for increased air flow, escape and body placement. The new Punisher T-shirt features background imagery loaded with various popular JConcepts key words, making a statement with powerful blue Punisher drip logo graphics on the front and large JC print on the side. Finishing off the back of the shirt is a large blue drip with pressed logo so you can show JConcepts pride while coming or going.

JConcepts Bar Code SCT tires

The Bar Code design is the freshest new SCT tire design from JConcepts racing development and regardless of class and scale the Bar Codes equals top notch performance. Like the name suggests the alternating bar design combined with the addition of the Y side bars provide uncompromising support for blue and black groove conditions as well as wet track indoor conditions. Available in Super Soft Green Compound the Bar Codes are a specialty tire that when matched to the appropriate track can provide amazing results. They are a part of the JConcepts special breed of tire, designed for maximum performance when new or used as the design allows even wear all the way down to the tire body. Bar Codes in new condition excel on hard surfaces that have taken rubber with either dry or wet grooved conditions.
