JConcepts tires impress on debut

The debut for the all new JConcepts off road tires took place at last months Nitro Challenge and on its debut race they took the win in the hands of top off road racer Ryan Maifield. In the hotly contested 45 minute A-main event, Maifield made it a debut to remember by winning the Pro Gas Truck class A-main with his Associated GT2 running on JConcepts “Double Dees” tires in Sticky Green Compound. In 1/8th scale buggy, Maifield also blitzed the track in Round 2 of qualifying with his Associated RC8 by laying down a TQ run using the 1/8th scale version of the “Double Dees”.

JConcepts have announced the release of their all new Illuzion bodyshell for the Jammin X1-CRT truggy. The Illuzion body features a stadium truck style that combines hard edge racing lines with a front hood scoop. The roof of the body has been dramatically wedged or “Illuzionized” for that aggressive look. While the rear of the body has been designed for extra bed durability.

JConcepts, who we know from making the great range of Illuzion bodies has now brought out a new, pretty slick looking, rear wing for 1/8th off road buggies. Design elements include Illuzionized center flow with durable through-rib design and recessed side dams for extra decal protection. Underneath, a detailed grid that makes mounting a snap. It comes in 2 different colours and is supplied with decals.

JConcepts have also come out with a carbon fibre brake disc for the Team Associated GT2.

Another body from JConcepts and another Illuzion, this time for the Electric 2wd buggy, the Losi XXX-CR. This particular body comes with 3 wings in total, one 6″ rear wing, one 7″ rear wing and a front wing also. So you should have no problem hooking your Losi up when you have this body on, plus it looks super mean too.

The high down force 6″ rear wing is for added rear stability and the high down force 7″ rear wing is for super rear stability. The Illuzion front wing is for added front stability. The Illuzion body features hard edge side pod styling with runners on the sides designed to move the air more efficiently to the wing. The roof of the body has been dramatically wedged and Illuzionized for that aggressive look.

JConcepts Illuzion Mugen MBX5R

Another addition to the Illuzion range from JConcepts is this Mugen MBX5R bodyshell. Available in either standard or heavy duty polycarbonate this new shell not only looks the part but performs too.

The Illuzion features enhanced hard edge side pod styling with runner flow channels on the sides designed to move the air more efficiently to the wing. The roof of the body has been dramatically wedged and Illuzionized for that aggressive look. While the front of the body has less of a transition from hood to window which gives it a more dramatic look.

3 new truggy bodies from JConcept
