JConcepts Stampede ’51 Ford Panel Grandma body shell

Coming from JConcepts is the 1951 Ford Panel Grandma body shell for the Traxxas Stampede monster truck. The “Grandma” was one of the most feared vehicles in monster truck racing during the late 1980’s. The 1951 Ford Panel truck was mean, a little green and always known for the most amazing single qualifying passes. JConcepts went to work creating the 1951 truck by once again starting from scratch to redefine a generation design from the “golden years”. The hood of the truck makes its point with a swooping radius and raised badging. The front fenders boast a large set-back to the hood which makes that undeniable stance as a 1950’s panel truck. The stand-up cab screams retro while the side windows are small but large enough for a scale driver to take a look outside. The body line along the side separates the sides to break-up the height between the fenders and top of the dome. The rear fender flare kicks-out in a vicious way to protect chassis components while giving the rear of the vehicle an almost car-like flare. The Ford truck has built-in running boards featuring a diamond-plate look which is found on the real monster while the wheel well openings are slightly enlarged to accommodate a large assortment of jumbo tyres and specifically, JConcepts’ Rangers and Fling King tyres. The front grille is made as a secondary part to get the utmost detail and 3D design which can be painted or decorated off the vehicle for the most convenience. After trimming, the front grille can be attached (using not included double-sided tape) into the recessed portion on the body as the finishing touch to this ultra tough and memorable piece. The body comes clear, including window masks and a decal sheet and it fits all Stampede-based Traxxas monster trucks.

JConcepts D418 F2 body shell

The latest buggy to receive JConcepts F2 body treatment is the HB Racing D418. Designed with aspects learned from the original Finnisher bodies, the F2 provides an even more aggressive look with included details which remain crucial to performance. The F2 body is a drop fit for the popular HB Racing D418 buggy and features an increased windshield angle that provides a steady force upfront during mid-flight wind gusts on large jumps. Forward cab placement changes performance/visible bias which help steering rotation in low traction corners. The side-pods have been simplified and JC chamfered to remove unwanted changes in height to neutralise the at-speed handling. The rear of the pods have a dual step, scoop treatment which give a first in class look to the F2 body. The rear of the cab has the Finnisher step feature which allows the placement of a secondary side window and also several louver options off the rear. The F2 body in the hands of David Ronnefalk won the 2018 4WD European Championships. The JConcepts body, that is available in standard and lightweight version, is designed exclusively for the HB Racing machine and includes all the cut-lines necessary to fit and finish around the unique suspension shock tower mounts and brackets. Designed for 12” to 12.5” trucks the shell offers the unmistakable Chevy single cab design with the exterior design blends a strong and study look while refining the details reserved for modern aesthetics. The muscle was chiseled into the tyre openings while the aerodynamics remain for the truck to hold its own in a straight-line. The grille area has not been compromised and accepts the detailed JConcepts decal sheet and includes two different grille and headlight options. The front fascia is strong and while the large tire openings swoop through, the bumper has recessed areas for side-marker lights and air inlet. The tailgate is rigid in appearance with a slight undercut that is so common on the Chevrolet trucks. The 2014 Silverado’s bed features a slight recess which painters can leave clear or detail to their specification on any build. JConcepts 2010 Ford Raptor MT body shell

Made for 12” to 13” wheelbase rigid axle monster trucks is JConcepts’ new 2010 Ford Raptor body shell. As the full-scale trucks hit the mid-2000’s, they were looking for a body to spice up their act, look more racy and add another dimension to the appearance. A lot of the teams raced to market the first “trophy truck” body or desert themed monster truck and a new generation started. On the RC side of things, the option just did not exist which left a lot of scale monster truckers scratching their heads while trying to come up with that look for the scale counterparts. This is where JConcepts’ latest MT body steps in with large wheel well openings, sculptured cab, recessed windows, hood scoop and race tucked rear fenders. The body will work well on a number of solid axle trucks on the market but is also adjustable in wheelbase fitting trucks from 12” to 13” long. The race proven extra cab look allows ample room to mount the body on an Axial SMT10 and still packs a mean punch mounted on custom “shafty” and clod buster based rigs. The flat bed area can be left clear during the painting process or detailed exactly how the user wants to replicate their favourite monster. Each package includes window masks, a 2010 generation Ford Raptor specific decal sheet and the clear polycarbonate body.
