JConcepts B6-series Aero short chord rear wing

JConcepts B6-series Aero short chord rear wing

JConcepts have introduced the new B6-series Aero short chord rear wing. The new Aero wing has intriguing details, a leading edge that drops below the mounting point that acts in a scooping manner. What separates the new wing from the standard is the shorter deck length, otherwise known as the “chord length”. The shorter chord has less rear overhang allowing for quicker rotation in the 180 degree turns and will have less impact in gusty wind conditions or long aerial manoeuvres. The centre channel is just narrow enough for the B6 wing mount assembly but drops the wing at just the correct height and position. The side-dams feature large openings for tyre clearance and expansion. A forward gurney option gives drivers an adjustment that previously hasn’t been available in the class and clipped rear corners help minimise flex breakage which is so common on 1/10th off-road racing machines. The joint wing assembly includes two wing pieces suitable for both the B6 and B6D buggy.

JConcepts have released another Brian “Dirt” Kinwald product in the form of the Dirt Racing Products recessed washer set that was designed to offer two ball-stud height adjustments while utilizing a single washer. The 2 and 3mm washers feature a 1mm recess; this allows a driver to simply flip orientation for desired height. The large diameter of the washer provides a steady footing against plastic and aluminum components while the milled and recessed grooves easily indicate which height is in hand. Included in each package are four pieces of the 2 to 1mm washer and two pieces of the 3 to 2mm washer. In addition, a 0.5mm shim is also included for the ultimate in fine tuning adjustment and can be used alongside the recessed washers. JConcepts RC8T3 Finnisher bodyshell

JConcepts RC8T3 Finnisher bodyshell

JConcepts have introduced the Finnisher bodyshell for the Team Associated RC8T3 and T3e. Winner of the 2016 ROAR National Championship in the hands of Spencer Rivkin, the body features a slight cab forward, raked windshield and aggressive stance. A wide front hood scoop allows plenty of clearance for front suspension and the body incorporates a large center fin which begins on the roof line and finishes just past the half-way point on the bed. An extended front chin spoiler, headlight and grill protect the front-end from unwanted up-drafts during flight. The body incorporates pre-dimpled body post locations and it also includes champion rear name plates which provide additional high-speed stability and improved positioning of the rear bed rails to strengthen the assembly. Overall handling has been improved by balancing the bias between the cab location and rear wing placement which control the majority of the aero affects of the aggressively styled body.
