JConcepts B5M S2 body for lay-down transmissions

JConcepts’ recently introduced S2 body for the Team Associated B5M is now also available in a special edition for lay-down transmissions. Featuring the original Silencer 2 styling with an aggressive, progressive cab design and channelled roof section the body also sports built-in gear cover ducts on both sides, distinct vents used to help relieve hot air build-up inside the body for those high-powered runs or hot days at the track. The features accommodate 3 or 4-gear lay-down style transmissions, giving all out versatility. Included with the S2 lay-down body come two 6.5″ Finnisher rear wings, window masks and a decal sheet.

JConcepts S2 B5M bodyshell

During the recent IFMAR 1/10th Buggy World Championships JConcepts have introduced the S2 bodyshell for the Team Associated B5M buggy. The new shell rocks some familiar features but rolled together with a low-profile stance. Slammed overall height allows the S2 to whisk through the turns with a low centre of mass while the progressive cab design provides plenty of front-end force for balance and steering. A channelled roof directs the flow through the centre of the body while also increasing the rigidity of cockpit. The dual side-window design that has become famous on the JConcepts bodies remains to bring a traditional feel to the layout. The upper side-pods feature distinct vents used to help relieve hot air build-up inside the body for those high-powered runs or hot days at the track. Carved and detailed side-pods edge the body giving the highly aero unit a stylish look with and tight fit and finish. Cut-lines are included on each side of the body to accommodate 3 or 4 gear transmission layouts giving all out versatility. Included with the body come two 6.5″ Finnisher rear wings, a decal sheet and window masks.

JConcepts B5M Warrior bodyshell

Seen for the first time at the recent IFMAR 1/10th Buggy World Championships JConcepts now officially introduce the Warrior bodyshell for the Team Associated B5M buggy. The design is focussed on the unconventional 8-window cab with rollcage details with an unique split front window, protecting the cockpit from the occasional aerial assault of lap traffic. The rear upper pods are pronounced, heavily drafted and blended to the chassis side-guard covers, allowing plenty of electrical clearance inside the shell. The body is an experienced racer too, featuring useable vents positioned throughout providing air-intake or escape packages for the skilled and crafty driver. Fully committed, the Warrior body features cut-lines for either Team Associated 3 or 4 gear transmission layout and the body package contains two 6.5″ Finnisher rear wings with cut lines and pre-dimpled locations for drop-fit mounting on the Team Associated B5M. Masks are included for all forward and side facing window panels and JConcepts decal sheet round out the package.

JConcepts B5M honeycomb aluminium chassis

Seen for the first time at last week’s IFMAR 1/10th Off-road World Championships JConcepts have now officially introduced the honeycomb lightweight aluminium chassis for the Team Associated B5M. Machined from hard anodised black aluminium and sporting milled hex shaped pockets the chassis also features aluminium islands in the electrics compartment which are left to allow an electrical footing area for mounting and wiring needs. The hex pockets in the centre of the chassis have been cleared for sensor wire or miscellaneous wire routing. All edges of the honeycomb pockets have been highlighted with chamfered edging all around, bringing out an luxurious look. The honeycomb chassis weighs in at 112 grams, some 23 grams less than a stock counterpart all while still remaining structurally sound, making it deal for stock and modified racers alike.

JConcepts T5M/SC5M spring steel CVA set

Following a dedicated variant for the B5 series of vehicles JConcepts now also have a spring steel CVA set for Team Associated’s T5M and SC5M trucks available. The design is based around the HD 5mm axle diameter which is able to stand up to a rigorous demands of today’s racing. The bones have been machined of spring steel material for the ultimate in durability and performance and inserted with hardened steel pins on the drive ends. The aluminium pin barrels have a high tolerance fit and finish for smooth and quiet performance while the advanced plating on the bones, axles and barrels which also provide corrosion resistance.

JConcepts B5-series spring steel CVA set

JConcepts have introduced a new option part for the Team Associated B5 series of vehicles in the form of the spring steel CVA set with hex adaptors. The set is built for performance, durability and looks with the design being based around the HD 5mm axle diameter which is able to stand up to a rigorous demands of today’s racing. The bones have been machined of spring steel material for the ultimate in durability and performance and inserted with hardened steel pins on the drive ends. The aluminium pin barrels have a high tolerance fit and finish for smooth and quiet performance. The CVA kit fits the B5, B5M and B5M Factory Lite and it also includes light-weight, black anodised aluminium 12mm clamping style hex adaptors for a slide on fit to the HD axle. The advanced plating on the bones, axles and barrels also provide corrosion resistance and for more recognition, the JConcepts.net logo is etched onto each bone for identification and authenticity.

JConcepts SC5M pre-cut chassis protective sheet

JConcepts have new a chassis protective sheet available for the Team Associated SC5M short course truck. Coming in 2-piece sets the pre-cut and graphically pleasing decal helps to protect the chassis bottom from becoming damaged or excessively scratched on abrasive surfaces.

JConcepts Detox 1/8th buggy tyre

JConcepts have introduced the Detox 1/8th buggy tyre. Designed for those extra brutal track conditions, the tyre features a closely spaced tread that was made to survive long mains and it is available in compounds such as red, blue and green giving racers an option for just about any temperature requirement. The design revolves around the centre structure which has hefty lugs arranged in a stacked configuration. The lugs have strategically placed cuts and grooves to allow flex in dusty conditions to perform even if the track is deteriorating while a long main is in progress. The outer portion of the tread fits together like building blocks, with shapes placed together that nest well but also work together to flex laterally to provide steadfast side-bite. The tread tapers off cleanly to the outer side-wall giving a smooth transition during hard cornering. Included with the tyre come JConcepts’ Dirt-Tech inserts.
