KO Propo Digital Ride Height Gauge

Having originally unveiled it at the 2025 Tokyo Hobby Show, Japanese radio and servo manufacturer KO Propo has finally announced the release of its Digital Ride Height Gauge specifically designed for RC cars and enabling precise measurements in 0.1mm increments.  Shipping from April 24th, to use simply insert the probe under the vehicle to instantly measure the vehicle height with a large numerical display on the LCD screen providing significantly improved visibility compared to conventional scale-type gauges.  Covering a wide measurement range
from 2mm to 38mm, this single device can handle everything from on-road cars to off-road buggies.  A battery level notification LCD is easy to see at a glance,
changing the colour of the frame displayed from “green (normal)” to “red (low),” notifying you in advance that it’s time to replace the battery.  This prevents sudden battery depletion during use.  The auto-sleep function automatically turns off the LCD after 1 minute of inactivity, saving battery power.  Furthermore, it features a power switch that completely disconnects the battery when stored.  Equipped with a function to correct slight errors caused by attaching and detaching the probe, calibration (zero point adjustment) can be easily completed using the included calibration gauge and the button on the main unit.  The exterior parts of this gauge are produced using a 3D printer and due to this manufacturing process, layer lines and unevenness may be visible on the surface, but this does not affect the quality or function.

KO Propo ‘EX-NEXT Basic’ Transmitter

With the 63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show taking place in Japan, radio manufacturer KO Propo is showcasing their new ‘EX-NEXT Basic’ transmitter.  The XT adopted ‘EX-NEXT Basic’ model offers super fast response but by minimising the decoration of the main body KO Propo can offer the Japanese made radio at a more affordable price.  With no changes to body specifications or features, you still get to use the performance of high end models.  The ‘Basic’ is offered in two options, the XT and the new LDT (Lay Down Trigger) configuration.  LDT is a new idea of laying down the trigger operation axis by 90 degrees.  The feeling of being able to squeeze and press it effortlessly with your fingertips resting naturally.  The ergonomic design that does not interfere with finger movement realises a seamless and linear operation feel throughout the entire stroke.  It makes acceleration work and braking smoother and more enjoyable.  The LDT makes you feel like your driving technique has improved by one or two ranks.  This appearance, which also focuses on the quality of the operation feel, will take you to a new dimension. It can be adjusted to a range that even children’s fingers can reach.  The ‘EX-NEXT Basic’ is due to start shipping in July.

KO Propo EX-Next transmitter

KO Propo have dropped their all new EX-Next transmitter and KR-420XT receiver. Equipped with a new standard called ‘XT’ that they claim achieves the fastest communication speed in the industry. An all new control and radio communication software was developed making it about 3 times the speed of the EX-RR. High-speed communication in the XT advanced mode improves the information density that will be sent to the receiver for a smooth and more responsive feeling. The EX-Next also supports ‘XT Telemetry mode’ that uses 2-way communication. When 4S series servos, that support serial compatible, are connected to the B/S port in the new receiver you can use realtime ICS allowing you to easily change parameters of the servos from the transmitter without accessing the car directly. Even using the XT Telemetry mode that is 2-way communication, the high-speed response, while slower than XT advanced mode is still faster than the EX-RR.

KO Propo EX-2 ST2 radio system

KO Propo have introduced their new EX-2 ST2 club-level radio system. The transmitter utilises the Extension Unit 2 steering wheel as well as upgraded angle sensors for the steering wheel and throttle lever that not only are about 100-times as durable as the standard potentiometers, they also offer a more linear output for greatly improved steering, throttle and brake feeling in both electric and nitro classes. The steering unit also offers dual ball bearings for the steering wheel shaft which optimises feeling and durability while a soft steering wheel return spring ensures a linear steering wheel feeling from the neutral point all the way up to the maximum operation angle. The ST2 transmitter is rounded out by the new V2.12 firmware as it is used with the high-end EX-RR transmitter. The radio system includes the compact size KR-241FH 4-channel receiver and it will hit stores at the end of August.
