Kyosho Yuichi Kanai turnbuckle & ball end tools

Kyosho’s Yuichi Kanai has released a first preview image of two new turnbuckle and ball end tools that are about to hit stores soon. One features 5.5mm and 7.0mm ends for turnbuckles and steering pins while the second, with 6.5mm and 8.0mm ends was designed for 6.8mm ball ends and 7.8mm taper balls. Both were developed for the use with Kyosho’s MP9 series of vehicles, they sport engraved markings for easy identification and will become available very soon.

T-Works ZX6 series CV-style driveshafts

Coming from T-Works and made for Kyosho’s ZX6.6 and ZX6 1/10th 4WD buggies are front and rear CV-style driveshafts. They are machined from high-quality steel material, come with a black surface coating for wear and they are available in standard or “left thread” variants, the latter include a single left thread wheel axle and wheel nut that prevent the nut from accidentally loosen itself during a run. All sets are available separately.

T-Works MP9 TKI4/3 rear tension rod

Coming from T-Works is a rear tension rod set for the Kyosho MP9 TKI4 and TKI3 buggies. The set includes a length adjustable tension rod/chassis brace and all needed hardware and the use allows to run a stiff chassis in longitudinal direction while increasing rear flex which can be beneficial in low grip and bumpy conditions.

Kyosho Mini-Z MB-010VE 2.0 chassis set

Coming soon from Kyosho is the Mini-Z MB-010VE 2.0 chassis set. The second generation Mini-Z buggy is equipped with a powerful brushless motor and a new speed controller that improves drive feeling. With tyres and wheels sold separately, the chassis set has been optimised as a racing platform thanks to the capable brushless motor. The other significant change is the newly designed ESC circuit board that delivers vastly improved throttle control, enabling the posture to be controlled through jumps for a distinct racing advantage. In addition to the throttle and brake parameter settings possible with the previous model ESC, with an optional setup cable and free software download, this new circuit board features motor drive frequency and electronic timing settings in the future.

Kyosho MP9 17.5 degree front C-hubs

Made for Kyosho’s MP9 series of off-road cars is a 17.5 degree front C-hub set. The hubs are machined from high-quality aluminium, they come anodised for wear and to match the remainder of the car’s alloy parts, and using them will make for smoother mid-corner steering, resulting in improved corner speed and consistency in a range of track conditions.

Kyosho Europe welcome Carlos Fonseca

Kyosho Europe have announced the signing of Carlos Fonseca to their team. The Portuguese 1/8th off-road front-runner will campaign Kyosho’s 1/8th off-road platforms this coming season and this is what he has to say about the deal:

RDRP Ultra vented slipper pads

The new Ultra vented slipper pads from Revolution Design Racing Products are made of high-quality fibreglass and their updated design with a smaller inner diameter makes for more precise slipper action adjustment and exceptional durability. In addition the slipper stays more consistent over the whole run for less performance fading and more confidence in modified racing. The plates come in a set of two and they are available in three variants for standard Team Associated and Yokomo-style slippers, for the Team Associated VCS slipper clutch and also as variants for Xray and Kyosho buggies.

Kyosho FWD Mini-Z micro cars

Kyosho have introduced their new FWD Mini-Z cars. The first Mini-Z Racer chassis with front wheel drive positions the motor behind the front axle in a front midship layout while a new circuit board with newly developed control program realises dramatically improved steering feel. A full set of twelve ball bearings makes for an efficient driveline of the MA-03F chassis and the cars are compatible with the optional gyro unit. The sets are rounded out by the newly developed Syncro KT-531P transmitter that provides a full range of setting adjustments as well as highly detailed display-standard Mazda Demio body shells.
