T-Works TKI4 brass steering knuckle & rear hub weights

Coming from T-Works and made for the Kyosho MP9 TKI4 are brass weights for the steering knuckles and rear hubs. The parts are designed to wrap around the outer bearing seats and add unsprung weight to the suspension which can be beneficial in certain track conditions. The weights come as pairs in 5g, 10g or 15g specification and for the front or the rear of the buggy. Also available is a combo set that contains a pair or each for all-out tuneability.

Kyosho Inferno GT2 VE Audi R8 Race Spec RTR

Coming from Kyosho is the Inferno GT 2 VE Audi R8 Race Spec 1/8th electric ready-to-run kit. It combines the dynamic performance of the Inferno GT2 Race Spec with easy-to-use electric power for a race-breed GT8e car. While maintaining the full potential of the proven battle power of the Inferno GT2 chassis, the VE incorporates the 4S LiPo battery compatible Team Orion Vortex 8 brushless motor and Vortex R8 ESC as its power core. The high rigidity main chassis is equipped with side guards to strengthen impact resistance and keep dirt out to improve overall reliability and performance. The included 2.4GHz Syncro KT-331P transmitter automatically manages frequency bands and features a high visibility LCD screen and functions such as dual-rate and ABS plus safety features such as a failsafe function. Also included is the high-torque, metal-geared KS-5031-09MW servo for steering authority with the whole package being topped off by a pre-painted Audi R8 GT body shell.

Kyosho tease new off-road truck

Kyosho have been busy in the last couple of weeks, releasing teasing videos of forthcoming kits, one of which will be the re-release of the iconic Javelin 1/10th 4WD buggy. In a new video the Japanese company now allows a first sight on their “Project 2RSA” that appears to be some sort of a vintage baja truck given the front suspension design and old-school-ish body shell. No other information is available for now beside what is visible in the video.

Kyosho Mad Crusher GP & VE 1/8th monster trucks

Kyosho America have released first information and images of the forthcoming Mad Crusher GP nitro and VE electric monster truck RTR kits. Both are based of the proven and lightweight Mad Force chassis with 5-link long stroke suspension and big bore shock absorbers. New scale wheels with high-grip all-terrain tyres make for go-everywhere capabilities and both trucks come equipped with 80’s style ultra scale body shells with chrome-plated grills, bumpers, mirrors and wiper blades. The trucks are set for a release in October.

T-Works MP9 TKI/GT carbon fibre switch plates

Coming from T-Works and made for the Kyosho MP9 TKI3/4 and GT3 series of cars are two carbon fibre switch plates. Coming as plain variant to fully cover the respective opening in the radio box and also as cut-out version to use a standard on/off switch, both plates are machined from high-quality carbon fibre and they are a drop fit, preventing dust and dirt from entering the radio box.

UREE 2WD buggy carbon fibre slipper pads

UREE from Japan have announced their new carbon fibre slipper pads for a range of 1/10th 2WD buggies. Made from resin-coated carbon fibre the pads will enhance traction for improved acceleration and forward bite while also making for a more aggressive brake control. The plates are available in different variants to fit Team Associated’s B6-series, Yokomo’s YZ-2CA/DT/DTM and also Kyosho’s Ultima and Lazer series of vehicles.

Kyosho reveal first Javelin re-release buggy images

Following a first teaser video Kyosho now officially revealed that they are working on a Javelin re-release buggy. The 1/10th scale icon will feature the distinctive roll cage chassis that made the 1980’s buggy famous with the 4WD buggy being based off of the already released Optima buggy. Thus it will sport red anodised small bore shock absorbers, a redesigned rear wing mount, silver rims with knobby high-grip tyres and just like the other re-release kits Kyosho issued so far, the Javelin will rock several improvements over the original version to ensure it will withstand the brute force of modern day motors and batteries.
