LRP SXX TC Spec & Competition ESCs

Following on from yesterday’s release by Nosram of their new speed controllers, comes the latest versions from big brother LRP. The SXX TC Spec and SXX Competition both feature what the company call C3 Technology, which is a revolutionary copper core cooling system for lowest running temperatures, as well as new X-brake system that offers stronger braking and 10 autobrake settings for perfect adjustments. The new ADPC 2 software that is installed offers 10 power profiles and includes the profiles used by the team. This has a smaller footprint than the previous LRP speedo and so fits easier into your car and the TC Spec comes fitted with heat sink and is supplied with a cooling fan allowing it to be used with hotter motors.

LRP Charity RC car Auction

LRP were in contact to inform us that they are auctioning off the car that DTM driver, and former Formula 1 racer, Markus Winkelhock drove at last weeks LRP TCM, for charity. The car is autographed and will be sold off to the highest bidder in the coming days on eBay, with all the money gathered going directly to ‘Aktion für krebskranke Kinder der Universitätskinderklinik in Heidelberg’, a special cancer clinic for children in the city of Heidelberg, and so a much deserving cause. The car itself is a Maverick Strada TC, a 1/10 4WD E-Touring car, with the body shell is a direct copy of the Markus’ current full size Audi A4 DTM-race car. LRP Fusion “2009” Micro Modified motor

LRP is releasing a new range of high performance brushed motors, specially developed for micro cars. LRP XTEC engineers have designed a micro modified motor, using all its experience from the big 540 size motors to power your micro model. Fully re-buildable 370 size design, this micro modified motor combines all features current 1/10 modified motors are equipped with, including high-end materials. The Fusion “2009” Micro Modified 370 motor also features a unique mounting system, which allows a simple installation into your car with M3 (17mm) and M2.5 (14.0mm) screws.

LRP SXX TC Spec Speed controller

LRP have announced that their World Championship winning SXX TC spec speed controller will make its production debut at this weekends LRP Masters race in Germany. With a completely revised and updated software, ADPC 2, it offers even better throttle and brake control than previous models and the low profile heat sink and new internal design has improved heat dissipation even further. A new low profile high-rpm plugged fan, as well as the optimised Internal Temp Check System 2, are some of the other new features on the SXX.

Elliott Boots to run VTEC tires

LRP have confirmed that top European off road star Elliott Boots has decided to run VTEC 1/8th off road tires in both buggy and truggy classes for the current racing season. After testing the tires and understanding the benefits of the complete VTEC tyre range, the RB powered Mugen driver decided to ink the deal for 2009.

LRP VTEC 4600 Big Mama ‘Worlds Spec’ cell

LRP XTEC X12 Sintered rotors

LRP have released 3 new sintered rotors for the XTEC X12 brushless modified motor and feature magnets graded on a new and strengthened shaft for optimized motor performance. The 12.0mm rotor is optimized for maximum top speed with a linear throttle feel and is the preferred choice of the LRP team on big tracks with long straights. The 12.5mm is optimized for efficiency and mid-range torque and this rotor is the perfect starting point for every setup on every track and has already been successful by winning the 2008 1/12th IFMAR World Championship and 2009 1/12th European Championship. Finally the 13.0mm rotor is optimized for maximum torque and power and recommended for short tracks with many acceleration parts or on tracks that are tough on run time.

LRP TCM Live page now online

Our friends at LRP have finalized the Live page for their Touring Car masters race, which takes place in less than 3 weeks time in Eppelheim, Germany. A long time fixture on the Indoor touring car racing scene, the event attracts top names such as Marc Rheinard, Ronald Völker, Viktor Wilck, Alex Hagberg & Jilles Groskamp to battle it out for the crown. On the live site you can already find information on the event as well as vote on who you think will win this year’s TCM, and will provide reports, results and photos from during the actual event.
