LRP X22 Stock Spec & N.B. 6.5T Modified motors

LRP have announced the release of a full line of X22 Stock Spec brushless motors as well as the introduction of the X22 N.B. 6.5T modified motor especially for non-boosted modified classes. All motors use a precision-machined 7075-T6 aluminium can with the Stock Spec motors featuring additional machining for improved cooling and a lower weight. A machined window makes way for the laser-etched winding marking, ensuring easy identification while the aluminium backplate with machined pockets further enhances heat dissipation. The motors are rounded off by heavy duty solder tabs. As for the X22 N.B. 6.5T Modified motor, the power plant was developed especially with non-boosted modified racing in mind, a new class that ensures exceptional top speeds that are still manageable for us mere mortals. The motor builds on the X22 Stock Spec and features a 6.5T modified winding, an optimised rotor and adjustable 0 to 60 degree timing.

LRP ZZ.21C Davide Ongaro Edition nitro off-road engine

LRP have introduced their all-new ZZ.21C Davide Ongaro Edition 3.5cc nitro off-road engine. The power plant was developed in cooperation with Team Associated’s Davide Ongaro and it was used by the young Italian talent to win last week’s IFMAR 1:8 Nitro Off-road World Championships in Perth, Western Australia. The 14mm precision-balanced crankshaft is DLC-coated for wear and sports a silicone insert for optimised mixture flow. A rear ceramic ball bearing ensures a lower overall weight and also higher peak RPM. Other features include a long stroke design for best possible power and torque, a LCG engine head and specially designed carburettor needles for improved throttle response and mileage. The engine will hit stores by the time you read this.

LRP X22 WorksTeam optional rotors

Coming from LRP and made for the new X22 series of 540-size competition modified motors are a total of five WorksTeam optional rotors. Available as 12.1mm, 12.3mm, 12.5mm, 12.7mm and 13.0mm variant, the rotors have great influence on the overall RPM and available torque, with the smaller diameters increasing the RPM at the expense of lower torque, less powerful brakes and higher motor temperatures while the larger diameter items reduce the overall RPM but increase torque and brake performance. This means smaller diameter rotors are better suited for 2WD cars or lower grip tracks while the large rotors will excel in 4WD vehicles or on high-grip surfaces. All rotors are direct replacements and they come with laser-etched markings for easy identification.
