LRP FlowX speed controller – Exclusive preview

LRP FlowX speed controller – Exclusive preview

Following Ronald Volker’s World Championship victory in China, LRP revealed to Red RC that Ronald was using the all new FlowX speed controller in his Yokomo as well as giving us the opportunity to photograph the new speedo which is set for release later this year. A driver who has shown great loyalty to the German brand even during some tough product development periods, the new speedo is very much a joint effort between LRP and Volker. Working with electronics engineer Aleš Dobnikar, Volker made a point of thanking LRP for their “hard work” praising them on the “progress they have made” recently. Although they have won many World titles, LRP boss Jürgen Lautenbach, who was in Beijing, said “this one is special”. Technically the new FlowX is the evolution of the highly popular Flow WorksTeam speed controller with whom the prototype, ran by Ronald, shares its case but the full production version will sport an all-new case whose prototype you can see in our images. When it comes to the technical specifications and software features LRP remain very tight-lipped for now, just stating that the new ESC “pushes the boundaries of speed control technology in every aspect”. The new FlowX speedo is due for release later this year when the full technical details will also be made available.
