Mikimodel MS2.0 2mm Upper Deck

Italian Yokomo distributor Mikimodel has added to its Special Parts line with the release of this 2.0mm one-piece upper deck for the Yokomo MS2.0 Electric Touring Car.  The evolution was aimed at creating a car that was easy to handle, yet smooth and with as much traction as possible.  The specific design was conceived and developed precisely for this purpose with the front end much more flexible than the much stiffer rear end.  Furthermore, the four central screws can be used to completely change the flex setting.  Using only the two central screws provides maximum flex, while using all four screws provides maximum rigidity.

Mikimodel MS2.0 Arm Conversion Kit

Italian Yokomo distributor Mikimodel has released this Arm Conversion Kit for the Japanese manufacturer’s MS2.0 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  Under its Mikimodel Special Parts and after months of development the long and painstaking project has resulted in the new arms with adjustable camber and caster.  The arms were chosen to provide greater stability than traditional tie rods.  Mikimodel say the classic tie rod system causes a continuous change in caster throughout the ride, resulting in a loss of feeling when riding.  However, this way everything remains much more stable and the ride is much, much safer!  The project took so long precisely because they wanted to be sure that the system could be robust and reliable.  The arms are very strong, durable, and flex-free, allowing for much more precise and stable handling on the run.  Camber can be adjusted with a simple 1.5 mm wrench, while caster requires replacing a simple carbon plate.  Caster comes standard with 4 degrees of front and 2 degrees of rear.  Optionally, they can be adjusted to 3.5 degrees at the rear and 5 degrees at the front.

Mikimodel Universal F1 Rear Wing

Following the recent release of its Universal Interchangeable Front Wings, Italy’s Mikimodel has now added a 3D printed Universal Rear Wing for universal 1:10 Formula use.  Its universal mount allows it to be used on all commercially available models.  The development focused not only on aerodynamics, to provide stability, ease of handling, and excellent smoothness out of the centre of the corner, but Mikimodel say they paid particular attention to the material used.  Ensuring it was as durable as possible yet flexible enough not to break, they also worked on ensuring to produce it as light as possible.

Mikimodel F1 Universal Interchangeable Front Wings

New from Mikimodel comes these 3D printed Universal Interchangeable Front Wings for all F1 models.  After a major effort in developing the most appropriate and suitable materials, the Italian company have developed new front wings with the most difficult thing being to find the most suitable material that was resistant, but not rigid enough to break under impact, but at the same time rigid enough not to lose its aerodynamic characteristics.  The wings consist of a fixed part, the basis for all the others, and a replaceable part, the actual wing.  So far, they have developed two models, the ‘Alfa’ and the ‘BETA’.  Simply unscrew one wing, without even removing the bodywork, and you’re done.  The two wings are different from each other to provide different aerodynamic characteristics and adapt as best as possible to different tracks.
