RC Maker MTC2 SlimFlex chassis & roll centre shim plates

RC Maker have released their new MTC2 SlimFlex chassis & roll centre shim plates. Building on the foundation of their SlimFlex chassis range they believe they have optimised the flex to improve the performance of the car which is reflected in both feeling and lap-times. One major change on the SlimFlex chassis is the removal of the “through” spool and diff cutouts. They have pocketed these only 1mm deep, which provides a more rigid front and rear. This directs the flex back the the centre of the chassis for more consistent handling. RC Maker have also releases new easy to change roll centre shim plates for the MTC2. Simply loosen the screws, slide one plate out and another plate in and tighten. The set includes 0.5mm and 1mm plates for front and rear, meaning you can adjust anywhere from 0.5 to 1.5mm depending on how many, and which plates you use.

RC Maker MTC2 flex dampeners & tuning options

New from RC Maker these bulkhead/top deck flex dampeners are a must have to tune the flex of your MTC2. Restricting the lateral bulkhead axis of flex, they are a powerful tuning option which can be used on both the bulkheads, and the top deck. They also have some quick adjust body stopper shim plates to make changing the height of the body stopper a breeze, which is really handy for when you’re changing bodies or body heights on the fly. Finally they have got some accurate new caster tools and adapters, so you can measure your caster and ensure it’s spot on. This allows you to detect a misalignment and make any adjustments necessary to correct it, digitally, or with your setup station.

Mugen MTC2 bypass shock body

Mugen have introduced the optional bypass shock body for their popular MTC2 touring car. Externally the same as the standard shock the inner surface sports additional machined channels which makes for a smoother and softer initial travel of the piston. When using this in the front of the car it makes the car smoother when operating at the corner entry or with less steering angle and is most suited for carpet and high grip conditions.

OfficinaRC progressive shock case for MTC2

From OfficinaRC, the first innovative and revolutionary progressive shock absorber solution combined in a single component, developed for the Mugen MTC2. The shock absorber case is machined from solid Ergal 7075 and further machined to make the conical cuts inside the case. The progressive solution can be used with the original piston. If you want to try greater hardness, just close the holes. When the piston is at the bottom of the shock, it moves softer and damping becomes more difficult as the piston moves up. This means that the shock damping is softer in the early part of the movement and becomes harder as the car moves more. They are built to improve traction and steering.
