MIP Mugen MBX8/7 ByPass1 shock pistons

Fresh off their successful performance at the IFMAR 1/8 Scale Worlds are the next generation MIP ByPass1 pistons for the Mugen 1/8th scale off-road kits. Available in 6 and 8-hole configurations, the ByPass1 technology returns new and improved with 1mm pilot holes, that can be drilled out to the drivers specifications. Also included with each piston kit are the MIP colour coded valves which will allow to fully customise and optimise the car’s performance. The kit will elevate the vehicle’s suspension efficiency to a level that can be felt on the track and more importantly result in lower lap times. Instead of having the oil in the shocks react the same way in both compression and rebound, drivers can tune those characteristics with MIP’s pistons in conjunction with different valves to produce favourable characteristics on the track.

T-Works MBX8 & MP9 DLC coated arm shafts

Coming from T-Works are several sets of DLC-coated suspension shafts for the Mugen MBX8/7 and the Kyosho Inferno MP9 TKI4/3/Evo buggies. All use the diamond-like coating that is best known from competition engine crankshafts and that makes for a hard-wearing and slick surface, ensuring long parts life and smooth suspension action. Available are front upper arm, front lower arm and rear lower arm sets for the Mugen MBX8 and MBX7 as well as front and rear sets for the Kyosho Inferno MP9 TKI4, TKI3 and Evo kits.

Vigor 1/10th touring bulkhead alignment blocks

Vigor RC have introduced their new bulkhead alignment blocks for some of the most popular 1/10th scale electric touring cars. Machined from high-quality aluminium and coming black anodised the blocks are inserted between the left and right bulkhead and help to get them straight when fastening the bulkhead screws. The result is a perfectly parallel bulkhead assembly that prevents chassis tweak while ensuring less stress on the spool and differential bearings. The blocks are available as 18mm/22mm variant for the Yokomo BD8 and BD9, as 19mm/23mm variant for Xray T4 and Awesomatix A800 cars and also as 18mm/20mm block for Yokomo BD9, ARC R11, Infinity IF14 and Mugen MTC1 kit.

Mugen MBX8 -3 Ackermann plates & +15mm wing mount

Mugen have introduced two new option parts for the MBX8 line of buggies in the form of the -3 front upright Ackermann plates and the +15mm rear wing mount. Starting with the Ackermann plates, the items move the steering rod ball stud location 3mm towards the outside compared to the kit standard arms, which results in improved initial steering response and improved stability coming out of corners. The parts are machined from high-quality carbon fibre.

Mugen MTC1 performance conversion kit

After a year of testing and racing, Mugen Seiki has released first information about their new performance conversion kit for the MTCC1 electric touring car. All of the new parts were used at the European Reedy Race of Champions, where all three prototype MTC1 ended up in the top 10 of the modified class. The prototype MTC1 was able to log some of the fastest lap times of the entire event, highlighting the capabilities of the new parts. Testing with the prototype MTC1 on asphalt has also shown great results. Most testing was been done by pro drivers, but we also did testing with hobby customers and the testing displayed great results for drivers of all levels.
