Imbue introduce updated MBX8 dogbone kit

Imbue Motorsports have introduced an updated centre dogbone kit for the Mugen MBX8 and MBX7R buggies. Featuring new 5mm aluminium dogbones with harder pins for increased durability and wear, the kit also includes updated drive cups made from bearing steel which have been correctly hardened for long life. The cups also feature some minor revisions to prevent the dogbones from bottoming out, while also eliminating pinion play on MBX7R vehicles with 8×16 differential pinion bearings.

Mugen MBX8 Expert Build buggy roller

Mugen have announced the soon release of their limited edition MBX8 Expert Build 1/8th nitro buggy kit. The rollers come factory assembled to very high standards meaning owners just need to add their own radio gear, engine and exhaust.

T-Works MBX8/7 quick change engine mount

T-Works have introduced their new quick change engine mount set for the Mugen MBX8 and MBX7 buggies. The set contains a 1-piece base as well as two engine blocks and the overall design allows to keep the base in the car while detaching the engine by only undoing the blocks/base screws. As the gear mesh is adjusted sliding the engine on the blocks, it can be installed and released without any hassle as the engine/blocks assembly slides right into place without the need for gear mesh adjustments. The assembly is available as a complete set but the base and engine blocks are also available separately and including the needed hardware.

T-Works MBX8 series Ver.2 carbon fibre shock towers

T-Works have introduced their new Ver.2 carbon fibre shock towers for the Mugen MBX8 and MBX8 Eco series of 1/8th off-road buggies. Coming as separate front or rear tower both are cut from high-quality 4mm carbon fibre with the rear tower offering additional mounting positions for the rear wing in order to adjust the overall centre of gravity or downforce.

Mugen introduce new MBX8 & MGT option parts

Mugen have announced the soon release of two new option parts in the form of an updated rear shock tower for the MBX8 and MBX8 Eco as well as a battery connector holder for the MBX8 and MGT. Starting with the shock tower, the item offers the same shock and camber link geometries as the standard item, however additional, raised, mounting locations for the rear wing allow to add rear stability and traction when needed. The CNC-machined aluminium shock stay comes grey anodised for wear and to match the remainder of the buggy’s alloy parts.

ArndtCraft MTC-1 Carbon X-treme front bumper brace

ArndtCraft have introduced their new Carbon X-treme front bumper brace for the Mugen MTC-1 touring car. The simple and elegant carbon brace provides protection in front end collisions, from the addition of a support point of contact. Proven to increase durability and body folding under impact it is also designed for minimal weight while maintaining necessary rigidity. The part is CNC machined and designed from 2mm US spec carbon fibre and can be used in conjunction with the factory carbon body post support and utilising factory bumper hardware.

ArndtCraft MTC1 Extreme Cool fan shroud

Specially designed for the Mugen MTC1 touring car is ArndtCraft’s new Extreme Cool fan shroud. The part is a direct fit to the MTC1 and it accepts most standard 30mm fans units. The 3-D-printed part will significantly reduce the operation temperatures of both modified and stock motors, it comes without the required hardware and it is available now.

Avid introduce MBX8 option parts range

Avid have released several products for the popular Mugen MBX8 buggy in the form of a couple of aluminium, titan and carbon fibre goodies. Available are aluminium shock standoffs in two and four-piece packs, +4.5mm offset rear alloy standoffs that provide more traction on low-bite tracks as well as a four-piece low-traction set that includes a pair of standard length standoffs for the front and +4.5mm standoffs for the rear. Also new are hard-anodised aluminium steering posts, hard-anodised front anti-twist arm inserts as well as titanium shock pins. Next up are 0.8mm, 1.0mm and 1.2mm carbon fibre arm inserts that are available separately for the front and rear A-arms and also as a complete set including a pair of each. Last but not least are bearing sets for both the MBX8 nitro and MBX8 Eco E-buggy kits.
