Coming from Fast Race and made for Mugen’s MBX7R buggy are coloured battery boxes. Constructed from ABS material the compartments easily take straight-type LiPo receiver battery packs while an incorporated channel makes for easy wire routing towards the receiver box. The battery box comes in fluorescent yellow or red as well as plain black colour with two screws allowing for easy battery access through the detachable lid.
Available during this weekend’s Mugen Cup in Reims, France are Mugen Seiki Europe’s glamorous MBX7 rear chassis weights. Cut from heavy brass material and coming in a matte brass or polished chrome-plated finish the parts not only add weight to the rear end of the MBX7 platform but they also look very trick and show your passion to everything Mugen.
Italian company Fast Race has introduced a set of anti-twist bushings for the front wishbones of the Mugen MBX7R and Team Associated RC8B3 buggies. Machined from aluminium the tubes help to keep the front suspension pins aligned with the lower front A-arms which results in a more precise steering feeling and suspension action especially on high-bite as well as bumpy tracks. The bushings come in sets of two and with a high-gloss finish.

Mugen Seiki have introduced new option parts for their range of on-road vehicles. First up are the HD pinions for the MRX6 and MGT7 cars. The heavy duty gears sport a nickel-plated surfaces rather than being hard-anodised which makes for improved wear resistance. They are available in four sizes including 15T and 16T first gear and 19T and 20T second gear variants. Also new are 3-hole and 4-hole pistons for the MRX and MTX cars. Coming in sets of two the pistons add more damper setup options to Mugen’s popular on-road cars and it is understood that they come in handy especially on high-bite surfaces.
Coming from Mugen Seiki and made for the MRX6 1/8th nitro on-road car are a low-friction belt pulley set and new heavy-duty aluminium front body mounts. Starting with the belt pulleys, the 10-piece set uses a new material that reduces the friction between the belts and the pulleys for improved drivetrain efficiency and thus better acceleration, top speed and mileage. The package includes a full set of front, centre and rear pulleys and it is a direct replacement for the stock parts. Also new are 8mm front aluminium body posts. Being larger in diameter than the stock parts they also feature a hard anodised surface for wear and finer spaced body clip holes for more precise body height adjustments.
Mugen have introduced a new 4-shoe clutch for their MBX-7 series of vehicles. Including a new flywheel the set also comes with four aluminium clutch shoes, a set of 0.8mm and 0.9mm springs as well as mounting material. The clutch is usable with the MBX-7R buggy and MBX7TR truck as well as the MGT7 1/8th GT car with all parts also being available separately.

Former KM Racing driver, Spain’s Sergi Franch has made the switch to Mugen Seiki for the 2016 season. Sergi will be supported by Modelix Racing and his campaign includes the Spanish National Championship, the World Championships in Gubbio, Italy as well as selected national and international events. German company PSM have introduced new carbon fibre shock towers for the Mugen MBX7R 1/8th off-road buggy. Cut from semi-gloss 5mm carbon material the shock towers offer refined upper shock mount positions with the rear tower also sporting an updated camber link geometry. The parts are a direct fit and they are available now.
