Mugen MGT7 & MGT7E 1/8th GT on-road kits

Mugen introduce the new MGT7 nitro and MGT7E electric 1/8th GT car kit. Both are based off of the World Championship winning MBX7 platform and with the addition of purpose-designed parts they are ready for the growing GT racing scene. The cars feature low-profile front and rear shock towers, 16mm diameter shocks and a 2-diff shaft-driven drivetrain with sturdy gear differentials and CVA drive shafts throughout. Specially designed front and rear body mounts offer a wide range of adjustments to allow the use of many aftermarket bodyshells while the large front plastic bumper with foam protector will help keep the front of the body front tucking during hard impact. Tough side guards keep harm away from the electronics and power train in the event of a crash.

Blacktarmac LSS Ver. 2.0 on-road shock absorbers

Italian company Blacktarmac introduce the LSS Ver. 2.0 on-road shock absorbers. The updated version sports a long list of features such as different length aluminium shock bodies including double O-ring short-type bodies, teflon bushings for improved sealing, high-precision 2 to 8-hole 1.1mm pistons, new piston screws, super smooth piston rods as well as new laser-etched spring preload nuts for easier and more intuitive shock adjustment. The shocks are available in four different sizes including 56.3mm, 57.9mm, 60.3mm and 65.5mm variants as well as complete sets for kits such as the Xray NT1 2015 and RX8, the Shepherd Velox V10 Pro and V8 Pro, Capricorn Lab C03 and C892 as well as the Mugen MTX6 and MRX5. There is also a set specifically for Yokomo’s DB7 electric touring car.

DKT MBX7R graphite front steering plate

Available soon from DKT is a graphite front steering plate for the Mugen MBX7R. The part offers improved steering response and durability compared to the standard composite plate and it comes with a set of aluminium spacers for a drop fit.

VP Pro Mugen MBX7 bodyshell

New from VP Pro comes the CB-MBX7R-CL bodyshell for the Mugen MBX7 1/8th nitro off-road buggy. Made from clear high quality Lexan material the body offers an improved design with a steeper windshield angle, a raised rear section and less material around the engine’s cooling head or improved downforce and better engine cooling.

Pro-Line Enforcer truggy bodyshells

Pro-Line introduce the Enforcer bodyshell for 1/8th nitro truggies. From the mind of Ty Tessmann and inspired from the Type-R buggy body, the Enforcer has a meaner and more angular front end look with swooping roof and bed sections for improved airflow and high-speed stability. The hood of the body is steeper to create more down force over the front wheels for more steering and faster lap times. The body is available in three different variants for the HB D8T Tessmann Edition, the Mugen MBX-7T and the TLR 8ight-T 3.0 and it comes clear, including window masks and decal sheets.

Max Airbrush MBX7R Magma bodyshell

Max Airbrush introduce the Magma bodyshell for the Mugen MBX7R line of buggies. Made from genuine Lexan material the body sports the company’s unique Magma design and as a novelty the body is usable with both the nitro and electric-powered variants of the MBX7R as the side pods are large enough to fit the battery underneath while still offering a slim overall appearance of a nitro body. The same applies to the engine area of the 7R Magma that allows for efficient cooling of the nitro engine without looking abandoned when left closed on the electric buggy. As usual the body comes clear, ready for own design ideas.

Mugen announced MGT7 coming soon

Mugen have announced that they will release an all new nitro & electric on road GT racing car called the MGT7. While designed to compete at the highest level of GT racing, competing at next week’s Winter National (Fort Myers) as well as the On Road fuel National in Kissimmee FL later in the year, the platform is suitable for all levels and a wide range of usage scenarios from on the track to bashing outside your house. Adam Drake teams up with Mugen

Mugen Seiki Racing has announced that RC legend Adam Drake will be joining the team following a shock departure from Team Losi Racing and Horizon Hobby. Adam brings 20 plus years of racing experience to Mugen and will put it to work as a full time employee. Racing will be top priority but also Adam will work in race promotion/team management, research and new product development. Adam will race all Mugens off-road vehicles and will compete in club, regional, national and world championship events around the globe. Adam says:

I am very excited to be given the opportunity to be part of Mugen Seiki Racing as an employee and team driver. I am really looking forward to putting my knowledge and experience to good use with such an amazing company. I would like to especially thank Kris Moore and Tim Long for the support and for believing in me.
