Bittydesign P-GT3R 1:10 GT 190mm body

Continuing to expand their range of bodies for the GT class, Italian company Bittydesign has released the all new P-GT3R body shell made for 1:10 190mm electric touring car platforms.  The body shell is universal and mounts on all 1:10 190mm models, the wing complies with the measures as per USGT regulation (10mm height) and can therefore be used at any race.  The shapes inspired by a GT3 racing car have been adapted to the proportions and measures necessary for use with the 190mm electric models; the design phase took several months to finish every single particular, the attention to detail was obsessive in order to propose a body that could optimise aerodynamics and at the same time remain real in its proportions and aesthetics.  Included in the kit are a complete set of screw, nuts and large plastic washers to fix properly the rear wing, the front nose flaps (mounted with double side tape) and a decal sheet pre-cut and windows mask.

175RC RC10B7 Carbon Battery hold down system

New from 175RC is this Carbon Fibre battery hold down system for Team Associated’s RC10B7 1:10 2WD Buggy.  This system features carbon straps that replace the stock plastic holders, and uses quick release urethane straps to keep your battery in place during hard cornering and landings.  These straps provide a nice cushion for your battery to ride against, instead of hard plastic tabs wearing on the case, and causing your battery unnecessary stress.  This system also comes with upgraded Ti-Look screws for that Factory Team look.

ARC R8.X Aero Bumper

ARC has released a new Aero bumper designed for their R8.X 1:8 Onroad series of nitro and electric power cars.  The new Aero bumper surface is increased by 25% and can cover the front lower end more than old one with the main difference being the front edge extends 15.3mm further.  This helps the bodyshell touch the bumper more forward and increase the steering response.  Pre-marked with different thicknesses, this allows the user to cut the bumper and make more air go through the holes, more bumper hole cuts can increase steering more.  The new Aero bumper is produced from the same material as the lightweight bumper and with a thinner shape it is 2g lighter than the old one.

Connolly wins Irish 1:8 GT National opener

The opening round of the Irish National GT Championship took place in the beautiful St Anne’s Track located in the centre of Dublin last weekend where Genius Racing’s Clive Connolly took the win.  Hosted by ORCA Ireland, in qualifying it was Connolly taking TQ honours followed by Graeme Lougheed, the top 2 automatically into the Main Final leaving the rest to battle in the Semi Finals for the remaining final positions.  The 30min Main was a close affair with battles throughout the field.  Jason Noonan and Graeme Lougheed both driving Genius cars would fight for 18 minutes until finally Graeme would retire with a technical failure allowing Bruno Barbosa driving a strong race with his OS powered Xray to move up a position.  Out in front it was multiple Irish Champion Connolly driving his Mantis Tuned powered GTC8.23 on SP Rubber that would take the victory with a trouble free run from start to finish.
