Reflex Racing PN2.5 Low Profile Damper System

With the PNWC, the World Cup of 1:28 racing, coming up in November in the United States, Reflex Racing has release this PN2.5 Low Profile Damper System. By use of some clever engineering and repositioning of the dampers on the ever popular PN 2.5 chassis, Reflex Rcang have been able to achieve an extremely low CG suspension set up for their AAA car. Simple and high performance, this suspension kit is compatible with traditional T Bars, ensuring easy installation and reliable performance. The kit comes with everything necessary to install in your PN2.5, with the exception of a top shock. Here, you can chose to use our Reflex Racing RX28A-32 or any other “traditional” 1:28 scale centre shock. Also new from the Texas based brand is their True Spec 460mah battery. This battery has the same footprint as their 400mah 8.7V LiHv battery, but it is slightly taller at 13.0mm vs 12.3mm. The result is increased capacity and much lower Internal Resistance (approximately 30% lower than the current 400s). These batteries are ideal for stock and super stock racing where discharge curve is essential to keeping the fade down to a minimum.

Hong Nor 1:8 GT/Buggy Kashima Coating Shock Bodies

Car manufacturer Hong Nor has released a range of 1:8 Shocks bodies featuring Kashima Coating. The 1:8 GT and 1:8 Buggy manufacturer is offering the 16mm Shock Body in a rear and two front options. Kashima coating is a treatment (Hard Anodising) available for Outer Tubes & Shock bodies for suspension applications and it reduces corrosion/nicks and scratches, increases lubrication, and reduces friction extending the overall life of your suspension.

Anderson confirmed to defend MonTech NYGP title

Having finally added his name to the MonTech New York Grand Prix‘s list of Champions last year, Kemp Anderson has been confirmed as heading the entry at the seventh running of the event at 360v2 RC from October 16-19th. The 2023 1:12 World Championship podium finisher took his Awesomatix to the both the NYGP TQ and win in 1:12 Modified beating Donny Lia and Max Machler. With the New Rochelle located track just a 20-minute train ride from the centre of the City That Never Sleeps, this year’s entry also includes Awesomatix’s French Touring Car ace Lucas Urbain, reigning 1:12 Spec World Champion Max Mächler from Germany, CRC’s reigning European 1:12 Spec Champion & British National Champion Ollie Payne, Xray’s Jan Ratheisky, and 2025 ROAR 1:12 and Touring Car National Champion Sam Isaacs.

CRC MetriCKs, F-Won, and M-200R Aluminium Dampers

New from 1:12 World Champion manufacturer CRC comes their new aluminium dampers. Intended for the MetriCKs, F-Won, and M-200R kits from the US company they are precision CNC-machined for lightweight performance and tight tolerances. The unit’s tight tolerances mean damper fluid changes are very noticeable. Smooth and fluid with no bind for the ultimate in damping action, they feature an O-ring seal to prevent leaks and come complete with rotor, O-rings small M2 screws (1.3mm drive) and rocker arms. Also, M3 x 5 flat head screws are used for the rear mount hole.

Infinity IF14 Speciale Eccentric Bearing Holders

Infinity has released two new optional Eccentric Bearing Holders for its new IF14 Speciale 1:10 Electric Touring Car. Precisely machined from high-rigidity duralumin, they are offered in 0.25mm and 0.75mm. Expand the offset from the standard 0.5mm to 0.75mm, this enables higher differential/spool axle positioning enhancing rotation characteristics for sharper cornering response. Reducing offset from the standard 0.5mm to 0.25mm, this allowing lower differential/spool axle positioning improving grip and delivering sharper traction response.

Canas wins Buggyland 12

The twelfth edition of Buggyland took place in Madrid, Spain, over the weekend where it was Sworkz’s Juan Carlos Canas who took the win in both Nitro and Electric Buggy. Racing at the CARTT Fuencarral track, the signature event of track builder Miguelo Izquierdo Rodriguez would be missing its 2024 double Champion Davide Ongaro who was racing in Australia at the 1:10 Offroad World Championships. In qualifying it was 2024 1:8 Buggy Top Qualifier Canas who topped all three rounds to secure the TQ ahead of Mugen Seiki’s Berkan Kilic who had engines issue in Q2 & 3, Kyosho’s Riccardo Berton, and Sworkz’s Mattia Polito. In the 1-hour final, 16 buggies making up the starting grid, Canas would take the win ahead the Tekno of fifth place qualifier Daniel Pariente and Polito with Kilic one of a number retirements. Sworkz’s Elliot Boots would finish fourth having qualified 11th with FEMCA Champion Phi-Long Nguyen completing the Top 5 with his Kyosho setting the fastest lap of the race. In eBuggy qualifying it was also Canas who was the benchmark with the Spaniard taking the TQ ahead of Pariente, Kilic, and Boots. Winning the first two 10-minute encounters Canas wrapped up the overall with Pariente taking A3 to secure second ahead of Boots.

Kaerup just holds off Ongaro to take A1

An intense A1 of 4WD at the IFMAR 1:10 Offroad World Championship saw Top Qualifier Marcus Kaerup just hold off defending Champion Davide Ongaro as the two Team Associated drivers dogged it out over the 5-minutes. With Kaerup struggling out of the corners, Ongaro was all over the rear wing of the Dane making contact on a number of occasions. The Italian’s big chance to go to the front would come as the race approached the final minute, Kaerup catching the pipe at left side double and coming up short on the landing. However Ongaro would land on the inside pipe and miss the corner handing the lead right back. With Ongaro then coming under pressure from the Xray of David Ronnefalk, Kaerup was able to bring home the win. Having got by his team-mate Phend, when they touched wheels coming off the main straight & into the double double, the American coming off worst, Ronnefalk completed the Top 3 ahead of Mugen Seiki’s Burak Kilic and Schumacher’s Daniel Kobbevik.

Kaerup is 4WD Worlds Top Qualifier

Team Associated’s Marcus Kaerup is the Top Qualifier at the IFMAR 1:10 4WD World Championships, the Danish star securing pole position for the today’s finals with a third TQ run in the fifth & final round of qualifying as the 40th anniversary of the Worlds reaches its final day in Australia. With the running order reversed for Q5, the top seeded heat up first, Kaerup set the pace topping the group from Xray’s Dakotah Phend and defending World Champion Davide Ongaro. Overall however 2WD World Champion Broc Champlin, going in the second fastest heat, would get within 8/10ths of Kaerup’s time to secure a P2 for the round. In terms of how they line-up for the title decider the result means it is Ongaro who starts behind his AE team-mate with Phend and David Ronnefalk, who got a 5th for the final round ahead of Spencer Rivkin, locking in third and fourth on the grid. Winning 2WD from 2nd on the grid, Champlin faces a tougher task if he is to do the double at the Hills RC Offroad track as he completes the top half the grid in 5th.
