WMH Racing Battery Wizard

New from WMH Racing is the Battery Wizard, a discharge measuring device for your 1s and 2s batteries.  This tool is ideal for comparing, knowing when to retire, and knowing what kind of performance your battery really has.  No more seeing the Wizard behind the curtain, for “good” packs.  Having the ability to test your batteries, affords you knowledge on how much: power you will be able to have, for how long, and how much you will fade.  In short the Battery Wizard will do for batteries as the motorlyser did for motor tuning.  Key Features include Internal resistance measurement and the display of battery discharge curve, milestones, and raw data every 15 seconds.  With a choice of discharge rate: 1-45 amps* for 1s and 2s batteries, it reaches desired amps in approximately 2 seconds and has a customizable cut off voltage.

Willspeed B7 Options

British 1:10 offroad specialist manufacturer Willspeed has released a number of option parts for Team Associated’s B7 1:10 2WD Buggy. First of these are the Strengthened “Full Brace” D Block & Strengthened Std D Block. The B7 has notably had a few teething issues with the D Block and it’s alignment relative to the chassis and suspension arms, notably as it’s no longer chassis mounted and mounted on long screws through the gearbox case. The WS “Full Brace” D block incorporates the D Block and Roll Bar mount into a singular billet aluminium piece. This allows the D block to be fastened to the transmission case in two planes underneath the box and to the flat back surface in a “Fully Braced” fashion. Utilising the parallel rear face of the gearbox avoids alignment problems associated with the original component. Willspped also increased section thickness and added clearance chamfers to aid durability but keep clearance. They also offer a WS Std Strengthened D block with weighs of 6.83g for the Full Brace D Block and 3.69g for the Std D Block.

Giaimo wins Italian GT Championship Round 2

Schepis Model driver Rosario Giaimo took the win at the second round of the AMSCI Italian 1:8 GT Nationals held at the 2024 EFRA 1:8 GT European Championships host Naxos World track in Sicily over the weekend.   Having won the season opener in March at Mini Autodromo Stradivari, Capricorn’s Alessio Mazzeo carried that form in qualifying securing the TQ for the 45-minute final ahead of Serpent’s Gabriele Paloschi.  After the Semi finals the Raptor of Loris Luise would line up third with Giaimo lining up P6 just behind Genius Racing’s defending Champion Alex D’angelo.  In the final Mazzeo would encounter problems at the start allowing Paloschi to lead until he suffered a flame out.  It was then the turn of D’Angelo to lead until the 27-minute mark when a mistake ended his race.  At the end it was Giaimo who lead home the field with a 2-lap advantage over the recovering Mazzeo and Paloschi.  In the Electric GT it was Serpent’s Natanaele Senesi who took the win from Filippo Beretta and Round 1 winner Mazzeo.
