Castle Creations Sidewinder 8th ESC

The Castle Creations Sidewinder 8th is a sports speed controller for vehicles of up to 5kg of weight running a maximum of 6S LiPo battery packs. The 90A rated brushless speed controller sports a 5.5V BEC system that delivers 4.5A continuous and 8A peak current, it comes with 6.5mm bullet-type connectors build into its case and measures 62.2x56x34mm. Made for sensorless motors the speed is also of a waterproof design and it comes as a combo set including castles new 1515B-2200kv brushless motor.

Tamiya TA06-R chassis kit

Tamiya introduce the limited edition TA06-R 4WD touring car kit. The intermediate level belt-driven car features option parts taken over from the TRF line such as the TRF418 A-arms and uprights and TRF417 front and rear driveshafts. The “R” version also received some one-off parts to make the TRF parts fit while graphite reinforced A, J, T and N parts make for higher chassis rigidity. Other options included in the kit are front and rear anti-roll bars as well as TA06MS aluminium centre pulleys. The kit is scheduled for a late March release.

Jörn Neumann joins Maxima Fuel

Maxima Fuel announce the signing of Jörn Neumann to run the company’s racing nitro fuel. Jörn joins an already successful line-up of drivers such as Jared Tebo and Eric Dankel.

Xray XB4 adjustable ball differential

Xray introduce this ball differential for the use with the XB4 and XB4 2WD line of buggies. The pre-assembled diff is equipped with 2.4mm ceramic balls, a carbide axial thrust race, Hudy spring steel outdrives, heavy-duty diff plates and a composite material crown gear. The externally adjustable differential is best used on low-grip surfaces as it can enhance traction and drivability.

Hudy 5.5mm & 6mm turnbuckles wrenches

In addition to their already existing 3mm, 4mm and 5mm turnbuckles wrenches Hudy now also have a 5.5mm and 6mm variant to offer. Made from hardened steel the tools are of a minimalistic and easy to use design, they are black of colour and come laser-etched for easy size identification.

Matt Chambers joins Tresrey & Yaiba Racing

Tresrey and Yaiba Racing announce the signing of top US off-road racer Matt Chambers. Matt brings with him years of professional racing experience and will assist with R&D and product development. Matt had this to say:

I would like to start off by saying a big thank you to Tresrey and Yaiba Racing. This is a unique opportunity for myself as I will be able to compete at national level races with any manufacturers chassis that Tresrey and Yaiba make quality option parts for. It will be great to get to race the numerous 1/10 platforms available knowing I already have the best option parts for each. Max Power PR9.0 2014 long stroke engine

Sprint RC introduce the updated Max Power PR9.0 2014 version long stroke engine. The updated version includes highly precise ceramic bearings, a lightened and tungsten-balanced crankshaft as well as a 9-port sleeve. Included is also a range of venturi inserts to make engine setup for 16 percent nitro fuel easier.

Mike Gosvig signs with Xray

Multiple Danish 1/10 on-road champion, Mike Gosvig has joinded the Xray factory team. In the recent years, Mike has repeatedly proven his talent and professional attitude as a private driver by winning multiple Danish Championships as well as greatly representing at the races. Mike now joined the Xray world racing team and will primarily focus on 1/8th and 1/10th off-road classes. This is what Mike has to say about the deal:

I am very honored to have the chance to be part of the most professional RC car company in the world. I have been racing Xray cars for some time now, and as such I know and admire their attention to detail, their high quality, and their outstanding performance which has allowed me to win many races.
