JConcepts 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 SCT body

JConcepts introduces the 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 SCT body. Starting with its low-profile design, beefy fenders and noteworthy Silverado appearance, the 1500 SCT body is inspired by the looks of a class leading full-size pick-up, loaded with performance and Hi-Flow features. Fitting on 6 different trucks as a direct fit and over 9 different vehicles overall, the Chevy 1500 is just what you have been looking for. The air escape package on the Silverado consists of user friendly trim-out areas which have been strategically placed to ensure a clean race-able look that minimizes the trouble-some parachute effect. The large Hi-Flow areas are depressed into the body which allows the user to simply score the bottom pocket and pop-out for instant results. The Hi-Flow, reverse, hood-scoop, used predominantly as an under air release feature, blends beautifully into the sculpted extra-clearance fenders while releasing the front end of inner pressure.

AS Hobby Racing Zytech Ginetta body

AS Hobby Racing in Italy have released the their 1/8th Zytech Ginetta body. Designed by Pietro Corradini, who has worked in the Ferrari Formula 1 team for 35 years, the body has been tested on the track of Cassino “Lamberto Collari” and Fiorano “Jody Scheckter” with excellent results.

Ronald Volker wins VRC EP World title

Yokomo/LRP ace Ronald Völker has added a second VRC Pro World Championship title to his impressive racing legacy. After already winning in 2008 he was now victorious in the 2011 VRC Pro worlds held at the Eppelheim track, the very same track where the LRP Touring Car Masters will be held end of March. In the final Ronald was challenged by Martin Wollanka from Austria who managed to stay within 3 tenths of Ronald but a crash in lap 11 put him 2 seconds back and although he was able to make 2 tenth up in the next 5 laps Ronald ‘Mr. Consistent’ Völker cruised home with a 3.5 second gap at the finish line on Wollanka.

Pro-Line sign WC Cody King

Pro-Line have made the announcement that they have signed current 1/8th offroad World Champion Cody King away from AKA. Tim Clark said “The Pro-Line Team is excited to announce current IFMAR World Champ Cody King on our team roster for 2012. Cody and his father, Paul King, refined their nitro racing skills as Pro-Line Team members during the peak of the Pro-Line Saturday Series and have since proven themselves as World Class competitors with many national caliber wins and a current IFMAR world title. We look forward to partnering with Cody for the defending of his IFMAR World Championship title.” Cody is “really excited to be working with Pro-Line for 2012. Pro-Line is a dedicated team of individuals and I expect great results using their products.

Graham Alsop joins Bullitt engines

Bullitt engines have announced that long time top level racer Graham Alsop has joined their international team. Graham has been racing at the top level for years and after many with his previous engine sponsor, has decided that he needed a new power plant for 2012. After completing many hours of private testing, Graham was convinced the Bullitt B-218 was the engine him to take him forward.

Martin Bayer signs for Xray

Xray is proud to announce that Europe’s top off-road driver Martin Bayer is joining the Xray factory racing team. Martin Bayer is the European large-scale Champion as well as multiple European Championship finalist with podium finishes in the off-road category. Martin is a 5-time Czech National Champion and regular finalist at international races in the last few years. Martin will race the all-new XB9 starting in January 2012 and will participate at all major international races including the Neo12, all the main GP races, national race series, and of course the European and World Championship races.
