Tom Cockerill wins 4WD @ oOple Invernational 2011

Schumacher Racing got in touch to tell us that team member Tom Cockerill scored a win in the 4WD class at the recent oOple Invernational 2011 at the Robin Hood Raceway. Tom secured himself the TQ after winning three qualifying rounds. A clean sweep in leg 1 and 2 of the A-finals meant a never challenged win for the Schumacher Cat SX3 driver.

Team C Racing on-road setup system

Team C Racing release an on-road setup system for 1/10 scale pan car chassis and 1/12 scale touring cars. The camber measuring plates are CNC-machined, grey anodised and laser-engraved as is the included on-road ride height gauge. The upper toe measuring plate is cut from clear polycarbonate and features a large body post cut-out to make adjustments easy.

Used by Robert Battle at the 1/8 scale off-road European Championship warm-up, Novarossi now release the updated 51006M EFRA 9901 muffler. Featuring the 9901 specs the pipe received some reinforcements to withstand the rigours of racing better avoiding deformation in the outlet area.

Hupo Hönigl wins @ oOple Invernational 2011

Team Durango got in touch to tell us about their victory at the recent oOple Invernational 2011. The Invernational marked the debut race for Team Durango’s upcoming DEX210 2WD electric buggy and whilst the car has been shown in rear motor format already, this meeting would be all about the mid-motor layout on the high grip astroturf surface. Hupo Hönigl made the trip over from Austria to give his car its first run alongside his Team Durango team-mates, Adam Skelding, Craig Collinson and previous oOple Invernational winner – Nathan Waters. Former European champion Chris Doughty from Team Durango was also on hand during practice day with his own DEX210 before heading off to the 8th scale Euros to compete.

JConcepts now offer the Illuzion +8mm Punisher body shell for modified Team Associated B4.1 buggies. The body is a drop fit for a popular and World Championship winning modification to the length to the Associated B4.1 buggy offering a slight cab-forward design among other features to give additional down-force to the side-pods and windshield which increases drivability, corner speed and jump control. The rear base of the cab area represents the latest offering for 1/10th buggy racing featuring a super low profile design for increased air flow, escape and body placement. Included are two 6.5″ wide high downforce V-wings, window mask and decal sheet. LRP ZZ.21C Ceramic competition engine

The new LRP ZZ.21C Ceramic has been developed from scratch, profiting from the experience and input from their factory drivers, the result of which is a true rpm monster. Inside there are exclusively selected materials of the highest quality which together with an extremely precise manufacturing process results in a smooth power delivery. The new balanced crankshaft with carbon coating and silicone insert ensures minimum wear and low resistance. The newly designed engine head is extremely flat, flow optimized and lightweight meaning the centre of gravity is significantly lower compared to other competition engines. The end result is a motor with lots of power and super low fuel consumption.
