Vampire Racing have released two new sizes in their line of LiPo batteries. Especially for 1/12th scale and other pan car racing there is the new 1S 5700mAh battery with 50C, while for the growing 1/8th electric buggy class there is this huge 4S 5700mAh, 50C battery. Both batteries feature hard cases, with the 1S featuring connectors while the 4S is pre-wired with a deans connector.

Straight from the winners circle at the 2010 IIC race in Vegas, the car that TQ’d and won both World GT classes is now available. JQ Products, and their USA Distributor Swift, have appointed Peter Martin to the position of US Team Manager. Peter is the owner of TKO, based in Southern California and has been involved in racing and the racing business for many years. From Xray, the new aluminium front anti-roll bar for the NT1 allows you to independently adjust the anti-roll bar from the downstop, so that the downstop setting does not influence the performance of the anti-roll bar and vice versa. An added feature of this set is that you can also adjust the wheelbase. The anti-roll bar moves together with the front arm, and wheelbase adjustment shims can be added either in front of the anti-roll bar, to shorten the wheelbase, or behind the arm, to lengthen the wheelbase.

VP Pro have been busy the past several months working on an all new range of 1/8th off road belted tires. As engines become more powerful and gears get bigger, the cars are going much faster than before and so tires are becoming more important to transfer that power to the track. These new Evo tires are designed specifically for the Worlds track in Pattaya. The 809 Blade Evo and the 808 Gripz Evo both feature supporting insider ribs to strengthen the side wall of the tire providing less flex and faster cornering response. The main evo idea from VP Pro is the flexible belt technology, 21mm and 24mm respectively, which when accelerating keeps the tire flatter which means regardless of whether you are accelerating or cornering the tire will have maximum contact with the track surface and be more stable with less wear.
The organisers of the Hobbypro Open 2010 were in touch to tell us that the event will be held on the 6th – 7th of November at the TRC Track in Hong Kong. Open to 3 classes, 1/8 On Road, 1/10 Touring and 220mm Touring, qualifying will have 4 x 7 minute runs. Top International drivers Daniele Ielasi and Robin D’Hondt will attend this races and more than 100 drivers from Asia are also confirmed in attendance, with other drivers from the rest of World welcome.
