With no pre-determined marks JConcepts hits demand with the popular Raptor SVT SCT-R body. Beginning with the latest in 1:1 truck detail by incorporating the latest treatment in grill and headlight design, adding street appeal, the front and rear fender flares provide the clearance necessary to run an assortment of tires and wheels while maintaining that exclusive design and look. Extended cab design with recessed side windows, louvers along the front hood highlight a number of the front-end styling cues. Deep recessed trim-out locations along the hood and bed area provide ample space for air relief cut-outs which reduce the parachute / blow-over affect that is so common in Short Course racing. Built as they were in the good ole days, JConcepts has brought an essence of the 1979 truck together with the latest offerings in competitive Short Course Racing. CSO MRX-5 aluminum option parts

CSO have released a whole load of new 7075 T6 aluminium parts for the Mugen MRX-5. The new products include front upright upper middle points, front upright arms, rear lower damper stays, rear wheel quick change lever and finally a hard coated lightweight 2-speed shaft adapter, which weighs in at only 2.6 grams making is lighter than the original.

KM H-K1 blue clutch shoe

KM Racing have introduced this new blue clutch shoe for use with their H-K1 200mm chassis. The new material is more durable than the standard version and is best suited to high speed tracks.

Simon Nicholson joins Kyosho

Multiple Australian National and State Champion Simon Nicholson has joined Kyosho for the 2011 season. The former Corally team driver, who will run the Japanese company’s latest TF6 touring car chassis, sent us the following statement:

I would like to thank all the Corally team (Yoko, Susanne, Joeri and others) for all their support over the last few years, it has been a great experience for me racing with the team and all working together. Also many thanks to Ari and his team at HEI for all the help over the years. I am delighted to be offered this deal by Kyosho and I am really looking forward to working together with them for the 2011 season. My first international race with the TF6 will be the TITC in Bangkok, Thailand in February.

Team Powers HD body supports

Team-Powers have released a new update of their high downforce aluminium body supports, suitable for all touring cars. They are designed to help increase rear traction and are best suited to low or normal traction conditions. In stock competition they can allow the use of less rear toe-in to increase top-end speed. Sold in a pair they are available in Tamiya blue and black colours.

Traxxas Slash Pro 2wd Jeff Kincaid edition

Traxxas have released a Jeff Kincaid replica edition of their Slash Pro 2wd short course truck. This RTR is available in various versions with the recently announced VXL being the top of the line with TQ 2.4GHz radio system with Traxxas Link, Velineon Brushless Power, Power Cell battery and charger. This Kincaid replica joins the previously available Mike Jenkins Edition, Mark Jenkins Edition, Scott Douglas/Mike Oberg Edition, Greg Adler Edition or Jerry Whelchel Edition.

Viktor Wilck extends Tamiya contract

Continuing with the December/January signing madness, our friend Viktor Wilck drop us a mail to say that he has signed a 2 year extension to his Tamiya contract. The Swedish ace, pictured above with Kiyo Suzuki from Tamiya Japan, gave us the following statement:

After joining Tamiya back in 2007 I have had 4 successful and educating years. So when my contract ran out it was an obvious choice to continue when Tamiya presented this opportunity. I’m looking forward to 2 years of extensive racing, starting by focusing on the 1/10 Off-road Worlds in Finland preparing with many other Off-road events and off course the TC Euros.
