Cornella joins LMI Racing

LMI Racing have announced that former Serpent designer Rene Cornella will join their team for 2010. The deal is a positive one for both parties as they each have ties with onroad nitro chassis newcomer Edam. Cornella signed for the Taiwanese company earlier this season as a team driver and LMI are German distributors for Edam’s 1:8 and 1:10 products. As part of the deal the Austrian will be supplied with a range of products from LMI Racing and in addition to racing the EDAM 1:8 Razor Pro and 1:10 Spirit will race the new F1-09 1:10 Formula car from 3racing.

Team C sign D’Hondt

Team C have announced that they are to supply 1:8 Onroad World Finalist Robin D’hondt with tools for the 2010 season. The Belgian, who is the current German and Belgian National Champion, will use the company’s professional tool range, tool bag and car bag as part of his 2010 campaign with the factory Motonica team.

Team Associated RC10B4.1 RTR buggy

Following on from last week’s release of 2 new RTR RC10T4.1 trucks, Team Associated now brings you the new brushless RC10B4.1 RTR. Fully assembled and sharing many of the same components as the RC10B4 Team kit, the brushless RC10B4.1 RTR incorporates upgraded features like a totally new 2.4GHz 3-Channel radio system and SHV1504 MG metal gear steering servo. A Reedy 3300kV brushless motor supplies the power, while the XP SC450-BL electronic speed control with LiPo cutoff provides smooth throttle control. A sealed gear differential improves reliability and allows fine tuning for different surface conditions. Also available in a brushed version, which is supplied with a 17-turn Reedy motor and XP SC200 electronic speed control.

Richi Gomez to run Boss engines in 2010

SchepisModel have announced that they have made an agreement with the Spanish 1:8 offroad driver Richi Gomez. Richi will race the 2010 Spanish Nationals and other International competitions, including next November’s World Championships in Thailand, using the new Boss engines which has been designed and tuned by Mario Rossi.

Kevin Lee teams up with Vampire Racing

Vampire Racing have welcomed Kevin Lee to their racing team. As a European A finalist and winner of the BRCA 2wd National at Eden Park Raceway in 2009, he will use the entire Vampire Racing product range for 2010, and have direct input in the development of new Vampire Racing products for the upcoming season.

Serpent S400 Alu steering blocks

Newly available for Serpent’s S400 1/10th scale EP touring car are these aluminium steering blocks. Sold in a set of left and right blocks, they have been CNC machined from high quality aluminium and help to increase precision in this area as well as providing extra strength in the event of a crash. A direct replacement for the standard plastic part, they are sold in anodized grey.

Kyosho Inferno MP9e brushless buggy

Kyosho France have released details of the new Inferno MP9e buggy. Sold as a brushless powered kit, it is mostly the usual MP9 chassis with the brushless conversion in place of the engine specific parts. Utilizing gun metal anodized shock towers, shock bodies and other metal parts, it has a black anodized chassis and comes supplied with a specifically designed body shell with extra cooling for the electrics. Available in February next year.
