Atomic Carbon, makers of the as yet unreleased S4 tub chassis 4wd buggy driven by former European Champion Chris Doughty, have been working on a 2wd buggy called the S2 and the prototype car was photographed up close and personal by oOple at Kidderminster last weekend. The S2 is a mid motor buggy using some B4 parts and plenty of custom made carbon parts, along with some home-brew prototype bits.

Last week we reported on the running of the New Zealand Nationals for Electric touring that were held at the Manawatu track in which Jake Zarb won the pro class. Well at the same event in the Stock class it was Leon Dravitzki that was fastest in qualifying and took the pole position spot ahead of Stephen Li in 2nd and Philip Wong in 3rd. Once in the race Leon could easily take the win in the first and second final to take the overall title ahead of Li and Wong who finished 2nd and 3rd repectively.

You have seen these 2 different sweaters before in the Cody King / Ryan Lutz announcement we ran a few days ago, well now Kyosho America have announced the release of both the normal and hooded sweater. Each sweatshirt is printed with the large graphic on front, the Kyosho logo on the left sleeve, and a smaller “K” oval on the back. Top German off road racer Patrick Feschtschenko has joined the LRP Nitro team for 2007 and will exclusively use LRP Nitro products in this years racing campaign. A World finalist, Feschtschenko was also chosen by LRP to help develop the range of LRP Nitro products using his extensive knowledge and experience that has seen him win many International events.

Recently we reported that long time Mugen racer Stuart Wilcox had signed to race for Team Losi for the 2007 season to race with their 8ight buggy. Well it seems that it will be all change for Stuart this year with the announcement by Mirage R/C Enterprises that he has now signed to use GRP tires as well.
Stuart is excited about using the GRP tyre line up for the up and coming season. Stuart will be in close relationship with GRP to develop new tread patterns and compounds throughout the season! Models in Motion drivers Darren Cole and Steven Childerhouse are also joining the Mirage/GRP team for 2007! Models in Motion will be supporting GRP trackside at all events so you don’t have to look far for mega traction!

Earlier today we showed you the very first picture of the new Peak Vantage BL, well now we have learned that Team Orion have started shipping their long awaited entry into the brushless motor scene as well, with this, the Vortex. The motor that the Vantage BL is based on, the Vortex has been developed by top motor guru Oscar Jansen and has already won its first major race, on its debut outing, in the hands of Andy Moore at last years European Championships. Team Orion have continued to develop the motor further and finally its ready and should be available in the shops in the next 10 days.
