Miguel Matias rejoins RB team

RB Products have announced that former European Champion and multiple Worlds and European finalist Miguel Matias has rejoined RB. After some tests in the past few months, the former Ninja race decided to make the switch back to the French brand. With the Euros taking place in his home country this summer, Matias had the following the say about the deal:

Yes. I’m back again. I couldn’t forget that all my most important results and titles were got with RB Engines. 2010 will be a very important season, where we’ll race the Euro and World Champs. I’ll be there to fight to the victory.

Team Associated RC18 Late Model RTR

Now you can enjoy Team Associated’s world-class performance with true scale authenticity in a 1:18 scale late model oval racer. Team Associated have introduced the RC18 Late Model, a 1:18 scale RTR (Ready-To-Run) electric 4WD late model oval racer. The RC18 Late Model features a newly designed chassis with a fully enclosed, 2-belt, drive train system that is capable of handling the extreme amount of power that today’s brushless motors and LiPo batteries can dish out. Along with durability, the drive train is sealed to help keep rocks and dirt away from all the gears and pulleys. The RC18 Late Model comes fully assembled with a painted and decaled late model race body, chrome late model style wheels, aggressive checkerboard tread scale tires, all designed to look just like the full-size race cars that run in dirt oval series around the country.

Factory Team SC10 lightweight ball differential

Team Associated have announced the introduction of the Factory Team ball differential specifically designed for the SC10. Once built, the differential fits directly into the stock SC10 transmission case without any modifications. Racers have long enjoyed the handling benefits that a ball differential offers. For nearly 30 years, competition electric off-road cars have been equipped with them, and for good reason, ball differentials improve handling consistency over bumpy surfaces while increasing cornering capabilities. Each outdrive is machined from hardened steel for exceptional durability, then lightened to reduce rotating mass. The outdrives are also available separately so that current T4 and B4 differentials can be upgraded for use in the SC10.

Thomas Eytard joins Racing Experience

Racing Experience have announced the signing of former European 1/10th 200mm ‘B’ Championship finalist Thomas Eytard. The former RB driver has moved to use Novarossi power and Kronos tyres for the new French season. Racing Experience successfully introduced their Kronos brand tyres during the French Nationals in 2009 and their success in the first year has seen them as a popular choice for 2010.

Ciccarello to run 966, joins Serpent America sales team

Serpent have announced that ace driver Paul Ciccarello will race the 966 in 1/8 scale from 2010 onwards. The cooperation between the pairing for the 1/12 S120 and future 1/10 scale pan-class has been working out really well, so its really good for them to be able to coop in 1/8 scale as well. Paul has shown in 2009 with his 3rd place at the well attended ROAR Nats, that he is a force to be reckoned with and the coop with Scott Kimbrow, Paolo Morganti, DJ and Jackson will most certainly help to achieve even better results by working together closely. Paul has also joined Serpent America’s sales team for all the product lines of Serpent America including Serpent, Novarossi, Xceed, Matrix and Blitz-Titan. With his long time experience, racing and working at Parma for many years, he is very likely to offer great suppport to all Serpent customers.
