Answer-RC Losi 8ight Options

Answer-RC Losi 8ight Options

Answer-RC have released a number of new option parts for the Losi 8ight buggy and truggy. First up is this aluminium flywheel which provides an excellent alternative to the original Losi item. Wider knurling increases contact with the starter box making for easier cranking of that tight motor. Precision machined comes with special Losi size low depth collet. Other clutch items include a new tempered flywheel nut for the losy clutch system as well as precision CNC machined pins for the Losi clutch system that use a special slot rather than the original hex design meaning no more stripped hex fittings on the pins. Finally for the same range of cars are some precision CNC machined shock spring holders, which utilise a longer spring holder to give a more reliable and safer position on the shock. Specially drilled for minimum weight, each piece weighs only 3grams, they are sold in a packet of 4.

Reedy 2400mAh & 3400mAh get TCS approval

Reedy 2400mAh & 3400mAh Stick Pack LiPos

Reedy’s all-new 2400mAh and 3400mAh rounded stick pack profile LiPos, which were announced back in February, have been declared legal for use in Tamiya TCS Series competition. The rounded stick pack profile means they are a perfect fit in cars that accept stick packs exclusively, such as Tamiya M-chassis vehicles. However, their universal size means that they can fit in any electric vehicle that accepts 7.2V NiMH stick battery packs. An additional design characteristic is the single cell “humps” that key into chassis that accept NiMH batteries in a side-by-side configuration. Economically priced, both packs are perfect for spec class competitions due to the fitment in a wide variety of cars. A Tamiya style connector with 12AWG comes standard, but the connector is easily changed to accommodate individual requirements.

GRP Gandini factory destroyed by fire

GRP Gandini factory destroyed by fire

We received the terrible news out of Italy that fire has ripped through the GRP Gandini factory in Guidizzolo, Italy last night. Thick, and i’m sure toxic, smoke fueled by plastic in the building filled the air around the blaze. Needless to say this is a massive set back for the manufacturer and their employees, but thankfully it seems no one was hurt and the Gandini brothers will hopefully rebuild. We will keep you informed of any updates.
