Xray Graphite ventilated brake disks

New for the XB8 and XT8, Xray have released these CNC-machined graphite ventilated brake disks. When using this graphite brake disk, it is necessary to use hardened steel brake pads (not included) by themselves without Ferodo fibre-style brake pads glued to them. All Xray graphite parts are CNC-machined in-house using state-of-the-art fully automatic German CNC-milling machines, ensuring the tightest tolerances and highest manufacturing quality. Manufactured from high-grade, custom-manufactured carbon graphite that is specially produced based on Xray’s own recipe and specifications.

Robert Pietsch rejoins Mugen Seiki

Robert Pietsch, the designer behind the successful Shepherd Velox as well as top international racer has made a shock return to the MID Mugen Team for the start of the 2009 season. The 2007 German Champion will compete with the MRX-4X and MTX-4 but he will not just represent Mugen as a driver but will bring with him his experience and design ideas and will work closely with the technical designers at Mugen’s Japanese Headquarters. This is big blow for Shepherd who not only lose a World class racer, but a product designer too.

Xray NT1 Lightweight Front Middle Shaft

Jared Tebo released by Hobbico

Tebo takes Gas Truck National Title

Hobbico have come with the bombshell that as of September 30, 2008, Jared Tebo is being released from the O’Donnell, Team CheckPoint, Futaba and O.S. Engine brands racing teams. Throughout his 11-year career with the O’Donnell team, Jared has won several National Championships as well as an IFMAR World Championship. Hobbico wanted to thank Jared for his hard work and dedication and wish him much success in his future endeavors. Where to next for young superstar, I’m sure time will tell, but with close ties to Associated through his electric racing they could be a strong option? Stay tuned.

The high capacity provides more than enough run time for today’s on‐ and off-road competitions but the best news is the battery’s 35C rating. The C rating determines the battery’s ability to deliver power efficiently and Reedy’s 35C rating delivers world‐class power for all racing classes. Capacity and power are not the only great features of this battery, socket‐style connections provide low resistance for more power. Ugly and bulky high‐resistance connectors are a thing of the past. A durable case helps protect the battery from damage and incorporates locking tabs as well as adhesive so that the case halves remain intact. Vampire Racing hard cased LiPo packs

Vampire Racing, a new German hobby company, have been in contact to tell us about the first 2 products in the range, new LiPo packs. Both supplied in hard cases, the first is a 7.4V 4000mAh 2-cell pack with a continuous discharge of 25C, while the 2nd pack has a 3300mAh capacity with a 20C continuous discharge and is supplied with fitted cables.
