Juho Levanen wins Fintrack Nationals Rd1

Fintrack Nationals Rd1

Last weekend saw round 1 of the Fintrack Nationals held Kuusankoski track in a big sports hall. The event was very well attended despite it being held the week after the DHI cup and saw Teemu Leino, Juho Levanen and Simo Ahoniemi all entered. Despite being quick in qualifying and the races, a number of small errors meant that Teemu Leino couldnt translate that pace into a win and it was Juho Levanen that took the overall win ahead of Xray drivers Leino and Pekka Koivula in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

You can read the full report from the race here.

oOple builds the Tamiya TRF 501X

Tamiya TRF 501X by oOple

Red RC isnt the build and review type of site, we like to just carry product and racing news and other interesting bits but we always make an exception for when oOple does a build and review article, they are the absolute best you can get. This time round Jimmy has built the all new Tamiya TRF 501X and as usual he has gone into all the fine details and pictured everything along the way and then compared it to other similar cars on the market, not only all that but he has thrown in an interview with team driver Hubert Hönigl too.

Just check it out here and while your there check out the TrakPower 4900mah LiPo review too.

Carlos Peracho signs for Team Xray

Carlos Peracho signs for Team Xray

Multiple Spanish champion and European Championship finalist, Carlos Peracho has left Serpent to sign for Team Xray to race the NT1. Carlos has strong links to both manufacturers through his family distribution company that imports both lines into Spain and after many years driving for the Dutch manufacturer has decided on a change. Despite moving to Xray in the 1/10th class, Carlos will continue to race Serpent in the 1/8th scale class.

Coming to XRAY I was surprised and doubly shocked. First when I first saw the whole facility/factory and the world’s most unique and best racing facility, and then second after seeing and testing the NT1. I have many years’ experience with nitro touring cars and I just could not believe how quickly I was able to improve my best lap times using the NT1.

Peak Racing PowerFlo 35 IB4200 WC Matched Cells

Peak Racing PowerFlo 35 IB4200

Peak Racing have released their new PowerFlo voltage enhanced Intellect (IB) cells, the same type of cells that won last years World 1/12th title in the hands of David Spashett. Continual updates to the PowerFlo voltage enhancement process, and increased discharge rates during testing ito 35 amps, to more realistically portray actual racing conditions, have made these cells some of the best you can get.

Team versions contain the cream-of-the-crop cell with maximum run time and voltage with low internal resistance. HV (high voltage) versions feature lower run times, but are perfect for stock, 19-turn, and spec class racing due to their very high voltage coupled with minimum internal resistance.
