Menicucci joins Infinity

Top Italian electric touring car racer Alessio Menicucci has announced he has joined Infinity following his close friend Francesco Martini and ISTC World Champion Bruno Coelho in joining the Japanese manufacturer’s new electric touring car project.  A long time Xray driver, the reigning Italy National Champion announced his departure from brand back in October with it widely expected he would play a role in the move to Infinity when rumours of Coelho’s high profile switch first started to do the rounds.  Making the announcement on his social media, the popular Italian posted,  ‘A new chapter, a new challenge, but the same passion that has always united us!  Since 2009, Francesco and I have shared our passion for this hobby, always in the same team.  He started as my mentor and later became one of my closest friends.  2024 has been a year of reflection and changes, where we both felt the need for new challenges to keep the flame of our passion alive.  Embracing this new project, so bold and special, was a natural choice.  It’s a true honor to join the TEAM INFINITY, a prestigious team where I have the chance to reconnect with familiar faces and once again share this incredible passion.  A heartfelt thank you to Francesco Martini for wanting me by his side in this new adventure, and to Kenji for making it all possible.  I can’t wait to see where this journey will take us!’

Leadfinger Mini-B Retro-mod body

Having released a Retro-Mod body for the 1:24 Losi Micro-B back in October, Leadfinger Racing has produced a Retro-mod body and wing for the larger 1:16 Losi Mini-B.  Pushing the buggy body styling of the 1980 through the Retro-mod hastag, the South Carolina based Offroad bodyshell manufacturer is planning to expand its offering of Retro-mod bodies to some of the current 1:10 buggy brand offerings currently on the market.  Modern bodyshell design, both in offroad and onroad, is always a subject that divides opinion with many feeling the current offerings are nothing like the real category which they are supposed to be based off.  Earlier this week JConcepts’ new retro body release, the Protector for the Team Associated RC10B7, was met with a positive reaction.
