Xray XB4 ’25 1:10 4WD Buggy

After the release of their 1:10 2WD Buggy at the start of the month, Xray has now unveiled details of its European Championship title holding 4WD challenger the XB4’25.  The Slovakian manufacturer’s latest creation headed up by Martin Bayer, features a new chassis and aligned front bumper improve ground clearance.  It also gets 3mm wider front suspension arm holders (A and B) for increased stability & cornering speed. Wide rear suspension arm holders (C and D) also increase stability & cornering speed.  Longer front 84mm drive shafts accommodate wider geometry from the new arm holders.  Available as a Dirt or Carpet edition kit,  the XB4C comes with Graphite front lower suspension arms to improve high traction performance.  The XB4D kit includes hard front lower suspension arms to create increase traction.  Graphite C-hubs improve response & consistency.  Also new on the 25 model are the front steering blocks with external adjustable carbon steering plates for extended tuning options.  Elsewhere the buggy get redesigned front and rear anti-roll bar geometry with super easy adjustment from top.  Shorter 113mm rear central dogbone drive shaft in the XB4D kit are for short wheelbase configuration suggested for lower traction conditions

Nova X9R 1:8 Onroad Engines

Following on from the recent release of its new 1:8 Offroad engines, Italian engine manufacturer Nova Engines has released two new 1:8 onroad engines.  Once again not going into the finer details of their latest competition engines or showing any internals, the new 3.5cc 9-port engine is offered as an X9R or a X9R 018 “Carmine Raiola” version.  With the engine featuring a new design cooling head, the X9R comes with purple head details and is fitted with a Domed piston and a 3 point Head Button Turbo while the Raiola version, named after their top Italian factory driver, is distinguished by a black head and comes with a Flat head piston and 2 point Head Button Turbo.

ARC R8.4LCG 1:8 Onroad Option Parts

ARC has release two new option parts for its R8.4LCG 1:8 Onroad chassis.  A new V2 Rear Shock Tower Set for R8.4LCG big bore suspension moves the damper more centre and longer lower ball end to extend the damper length.  The new tower improves the rear stability, especially on throttle exit corner.  Also new is a V2 Middle Shaft Base V2 with belt tensioner.  The new middle shaft base v2 comes with an extra belt tensioner for the middle belt, which will reduce belt skipping chance, the new middle shaft base needs to be upgraded with the V2.0 Upper deck.

Yokomo MS1.0 Aluminium Gear Differential Case

Yokomo has announced the upcoming release of a new aluminium gear differential case for its MS1.0 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  Used in place of the standard plastic gear diff case, this aluminium diff case increases diff oil heat dissipation and stabilises operating effectiveness. Especially during the summer season, it can prevent oversteer due to low differential oil viscosity and stabilise lap times.  The pulley part is made of resin, but the case is made of aluminium, which provides high precision and increased drive efficiency.

Canas doubles at Alabama Manufacturers Shootout 15.0

Once again making the trip state side for the 15 edition of the Alabama Manufacturers Shootout, Sworkz’s European Champion & World Championship Top Qualifier Juan Carlos Canas came away the big winner with victory in both Nitro and Electric Buggy.  In qualifying for the RaceTime Entertainment organised event, it would be TLR’s Dakotah Phend who kicked things off with a Round 1 TQ but taking the remaining two rounds it was Canas who topped the ranking from the American.  The final grid however would be sorted in Superpole which Phend took reversing the order meaning Canas started the 45-minute final P2.  Qualifying P4 behind Mason Fuller, the Tekno of 2023 AMS Champion Ryan Maifield would get P3 in Superpole.  While Phend had a number of stints at the front, it was Canas who came away with the win 6-seconds clear after 104 laps of the indoor dirt track.  Fuller’s Sworkz completed the podium.  As the defending eBuggy Champion, starting from pole Canas retained his title after winning the first 2 of the triple mains.  The podium was completed by Mugen Seiki’s Burak Kilic and Team Associated’s Spencer Rivkin.  In Nitro Truggy, Maifield secured the win from Phend and Rivkin.

IGT8 SYM 1:8 GT Onroad Chassis

1:8 GT Specialist IGT8, the brand of nitro onroad racing stalwart Paolo Morganti, has released details and renders of their new SYM chassis.  Highlights of the new 1:8 GT contender include an innovative 4mm super narrow and sleek flat chassis.  IGT8 is the first company to design a GT chassis that works with both Nitro and Electric versions.  The symmetrical layout of the openings is engineered to maximise handling, chassis rigidity, torsional flex, and cooling.  At the same time, attention to detail and aesthetics confers an aggressive look.  Continuing their innovation is the Chassis kick-up with it possible to assembled the car with both the kick-up or the flat hinge pin configuration.  An all-in-one solution included in the kit that offers versatility and compliance with the rules.  The final piece of the chassis is the transmission plate.  Included in the kit, it complements the solid core structure of the chassis, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of the transmission.  The SYM Brake system is another novelty for the GT class.  Designed as a stand-alone component, the new design avoids the stress on the 2-speed mounts that extreme braking forces create on the assembly.

Leadfinger S35-4 EVO V2 Beretta Body

South Carolina based Offroad bodyshell manufacturer Leadfinger Racing has released its latest creation, the V2 version of its Beretta 1:8 Buggy body for the SWorkz S35-4 EVO nitro and electric buggies.  The V2 Beretta body is a design concept that combines Leadfinger’s previous Assassin, A2.1 Tactic and Berretta body features.  The modern combination complements both hard and soft lines that provide perfect overall balance under multi surface track testing.
