Zero Tribe T4 Mid aluminium chassis conversion kit

Zero Tribe have announced the soon release of their popular Xray T4 Mid chassis conversion kit in a limited edition aluminium chassis variant. Based on the proven carbon fibre kit the alloy set will include a newly developed medium flex aluminium main chassis as well as a narrow-type 2.0mm carbon fibre upper deck. The conversion is best used in high to very high-bite track conditions and it is usable with the 2017 to 2019 variants of the Xray T4 touring car. The alloy chassis will also become available separately for those who already own the carbon fibre kit.

Hayato Matsuzaki leaves Yokomo

Former IFMAR 2WD World Champion, Hayato Matsuzaki has announced his departure from Yokomo. Hayato spent seven years with the iconic Japanese manufacturer following a successful stint with HPI Racing. Part of the development team Hayato worked on the BD touring car and YD-2 series drift car platforms with his most recent duties being team mechanic for Yokomo drivers such as Ronald Völker. The departure of Hayato means another set back for Yokomo who are currently undergoing a restructuring process following the recent leave of founder and president, Tom Yokobori. This is what Hayato has to say about his departure:

I spent really exciting time with Yokomo team, customer ,Yokomo family! Speciality YD2 project and BD9 project was really big for me. I learn a lot of things during those project with Team member of Yokomo family!

Exotek FGX Shimizu tyre adapter rings

Coming from Exotek are their new Shimizu tyre adapter rings for the 3Racing FGX foam tyre wheel sets. The all CNC-machined delrin adaptor rings allow mounting of Shimizu F104 and Tamiya TCS F104 tyres onto the FGX foam wheels. The must have for carpet and cool weather racing allows the use of softer high grip compounds on the FGX. The rings are simply glued into place on the wheels and thereafter allows perfectly true mounting of the Shimizu F104 tyres onto the wheels. The adaptor set includes four rings, usable on the front of the rear rims with two sets being needed to outfit a complete set of wheels.

MonacoRC Wrap Shield

MonacoRC have introduced their new Wrap Shield protective sheets that are ideal to cover chargers, transmitters and other delicate items during transportation and storage. Available in three different sizes from 28cm to 48cm the sheets feature a padded centre section for extra protection and they are decorated with custom MonacoRC labels and graphics. Hook and look straps help to keep the shields securely closed. The sheets are available separately for as a convenient 3-piece set.

MTS T3 mid-motor conversion kit

Coming soon from MTS is a mid-motor conversion kit for their T3 electric touring car. The set includes a new lower chassis plate, multi-piece motor and layshaft mount, a C-shaped centre bar to adjust chassis stiffness and included is also a reversible upper deck that allows to fine-tune the stiffness of the front or rear end of the car by flipping it around, swapping between a split and solid setting. In addition the torsional flex of the top deck is adjustable using included carbon fibre plates that help to reinforce the top plate. The set is rounded out by a new spur gear mount, front and and rear belts as well as carbon fibre battery locators.

Ramp roll out new B6.1 & B74 carbon fibre optionals

Ramp have announced the release of new carbon fibre option parts for the Team Associated B6.1/T6.1 and B74 off-road kits. First up is an O-ring battery retention system that ensures quick and easy battery swaps of both standard and LCG shorty batteries while the design also allows for effortless battery position tuning and more natural chassis flex. The set includes two carbon fibre battery braces, mounting hardware and two high-quality rubber O-rings. The set is usable on both the B6.1 buggy and T6.1 truck.

ISDT 608AC smart charger

Coming from ISDT is their all-new 608AC smart charger that is usable with both AC or DC input power. The modular design of the device allows to use it with an external 12VDC power source such as the new, modular AC power supply that conveniently attaches to the charger’s case, doing away with unnecessary wiring. The charger features a built-in 2S to 6S LiPo balancer, a back-lit display, and it supports ISDT’s BattGo one-click smart battery technology that allows for automatic battery detection when using compatible battery packs. Menu operation is carried out using a single shuttle roll twist and push knob and the charger is capable of up to 200W of charing power when used in DC mode.

Shepherd Velox V8.2 carbon chassis aero kit

Shepherd have announced the release of their new carbon aero kit for the chassis of their popular Velox V8.2 1/8th nitro on-road kit. The set was developed to reduce turbulences under the car, with the slicker surface making for higher top speeds. Two inserts are included in the set, a small one which is fixed with one centre screw and a longer one for the front chassis cut-out which is fixed using two screws that also allow to fine-tune the flex characteristic of the front end. The German-made carbon design set is available from now on.
