Element RC Enduro Sendero RTR trail truck

Associated Electrics have introduced their all-new Enduro Sendero RTR trail truck, the first vehicle out of their new Element RC line of high-quality ready-to-run vehicles. At the heart of the Enduro is Element RC’s revolutionary Stealth X gearbox. Although the exterior appears to have a conventional 3-gear transmission look, the inside is far from conventional. The transmission features the ability to adjust the rear drive ratio independently from the front drive across three levels: stock overdrives the front end 5.7%, option 1 provides a one-to-one drive ratio front-to-rear, and option 2 overdrives the front end 11.83%. Feeding the power to the tires are 3-piece telescopic driveshafts with an extruded aluminum center section, universal front drive axles, and hardened steel ring and pinion gears. With the Enduro drivetrain, delivering useful power will not be an issue.

Tamiya GF-01TR 1/14 Monster Beetle Trail

Tamiya have released a first image of their forthcoming Monster Beetle Trail truck based on the new GF-01TR chassis. The classic Tamiya Monster Beetle is an iconic RC kit and this version takes the classic body, shrinks it to a smaller scale, and mounts it on a variant GF-01 chassis called the GF-01TR. The GF-01TR fits the gear-driven GF-01 chassis with reduction gears, also known as portal axles. This modification allows the hobbyist to better transverse trail terrain as it lifts the bottom of the chassis to better clear obstacles that could high centre the vehicle and render it stuck. No word yet on a release date but as the box art seems pretty much done the kit should hit stores in the near future.

JConcepts P2K YZ-2 body buggy body shell

JConcepts have introduced their new P2K body shell for the Yokomo YZ-2 2WD buggy. An evolution of the P2 body, the “K” is sleeker by removing rear down-force features to allow the buggy to turn on the tightest circuits and carpet and astroturf surfaces where traction is always plentiful. The entire centre section of the cab on the P2K has a channel based design to flow directly over the middle of the vehicle to stabilise the at-speed handling. The front of the cab, important to performance, includes the P2 position with heavily recessed front windshield. The JConcepts edge treatment remains on the side-capsule area for air-flow direction by the cab and pointing the force to the rear wing area. The chamfering stands out as a JConcepts design feature on every new shell, the P2K has those elements and in great positions for decals and paint allocation. The P2K takes into account, spur covers and drops over the kit supplied setup. Rear louvers tuck into the rear stance of the shell which can always be customer trimmed for a slight amount of heat escape. The body included two S-type rear wings for durability, rear traction and high-speed tracking.
