1/12th coming soon to VRC Pro

VRC Pro have announced the highly anticipated release date for the new 1:12 class which will be December 22nd at 16:00 hours. The development team is now in the final testing stage and some last minute adjustments are being made to the sound system, causing a 2 day overshoot of the initial expected launch date of December 20. The first release will be limited to the spec chassis and 10.5T untimed motor. The chassis setup options are restricted to toe angle and gear ratio while the speed controller has options available for throttle and brake settings. The full-option modified chassis, motors and speedo’s will be made available at a later stage.

ProTek R/C TruTorque tools

Orcan BT5 Plus .21 off-road engine

A year after the release of BT5 engine from Orcan the .21 off-road engine has undergone further development and will be offered in an optimised version called BT5 Plus. Beside a couple of detailed improvements, the most important step comes from a new carburetor. A special idle needle screw makes the adjustment easier and also creates better response characteristics especially at low revs which is a very important aspect in off-road racing. Featuring five ports it comes with a combustion chamber for turbo plugs. As usual for Orcan engines, which are exclusively produced by Novarossi for SMI Motorsport, the BT5 Plus power plant comes in a handy Orcan multifunction bag.

LMR 201X brass bulkhead

New from Lee Martin’s LMR brand is this brass bulkhead for the Tamiya 201X. Used to help Lee win the 2011 European championship and make the IFMAR worlds A main, it adds 35g of weight over the front end. The block uses utlises plastic inserts to reduce wear and make maintenance less costly.

Pro-Line & Protoform range of t-shirts

Pro-Line and Protoform have released a number of new t-shirts to increase their range of merchandising. First up is the Surf style T-shirt in Silver, with its clean silver color and its simple but effective logo placement. The Pro-Line Urban style T-shirt in Slate Blue features a large street-style P-L logo front and center and a full Pro-Line logo on the back, along with a ghosted splattering of tires, cars and logos. For the ladies there is the Urban Girl style T-shirt in Pink which will make your girl look pretty in pink and beautiful around town. Pro-Line 2012 Bulldog for Hot Bodies D8 & D8T

Pro-Line have released updated 2012 versions of their Bulldog body for the Hot Bodies D8 and D8T developd by Ty Tessmann. Ty personally spent hours refining the design for 2012 to create even more stability with enhanced steering to gain an advantage on the track. The windshield is steeper to create more down force over the front wheels and the roof ridges have been raised to channel the air flow over the middle of the body for increased high-speed stability. The rear of the roof has been lowered and fins have been added to achieve maximum engine head cooling and stable air flow over the body. The fins also add rigidity to the body to increase aerodynamic efficiency. Additionally on the truggy shell the hood has been raised slightly to allow more clearance for a longer shock setup and the headlights and grill have been redesigned.

RPM Revolver SC wheels

RPM have announced that their most popular wheel, the Revolver, is now available in a Short Course version (2.2” – 3.0”). RPM Revolver Short Course wheels are built tough, look great and have an all-new drive system that is built to withstand some serious power. The RPM ‘Spline Drive’ system is radically different than the standard hex drive. A hex is easy to machine and easy to manufacture, which is why it is so commonly used. However, splines are tougher and stronger, which is why they’re used in full-sized driveline components. Additionally, our Spline Drive has almost twice the amount of drive surface area versus a standard 12mm hex adapter and over 2.5 times the thickness at the most critical drive point of the adapter, the point that, if it fails, a standard hex adapter will spin.
