Reedy Zappers SG Competition 4S LiHV battery packs

Coming from Team Associated are the new Reedy Zappers SG Competition 4S 15.2V LiHV packs. The silicon graphene construction lowers internal resistance, increases voltage output, reduces operating temperatures, and improves cycle-life and the batteries are available in 4S 5200mAh low profile and 6400mAh high capacity versions. A high-quality, durable hardcase helps prevent damage while embedded socket connectors keep power-robbing resistance to a minimum. Male 5mm ESC connectors and a 4S balance lead are included.

Reedy Zappers SG competition LiHV battery packs

Team Associated have introduced their all-new Reedy Zappers SG LiHV battery packs. Their silicon graphene construction lowers internal resistance, increases voltage output, reduces operating temperatures, and improves cycle-life. Zappers SG batteries are available in low-profile (LP) stick and shorty versions as well as a 1S version designed for 1/12th scale and other classes that require the use of a 1S battery. A 7.6 nominal voltage means that with a suitable charger, the battery can be safely charged to 4.35V/cell. However, even when the typical 4.2V/cell charging limit is enforced, Zappers SG still offers a significant advantage thanks to a flatter discharge curve, which results in more voltage deeper into the race. A high-quality, durable hard case helps prevent damage while embedded socket connectors keep power-robbing resistance to a minimum. A charge lead and male ESC connectors are included.

Reedy Blackbox 850R 1/8th competition ESC

Team Associated have introduced the new Reedy Blackbox 850R brushless speed controller for 1/8th competition applications. Track-tested and competition proven, Reedy’s Blackbox 850R is a versatile and powerful ESC capable of winning at the highest levels of competition. A wide range of precision adjustability, excellent throttle and brake feel, and durable high-quality hardware make the Blackbox 850R perfectly suited for 1:8 buggy and truggy applications. The 850R comes pre-programmed with settings that are suitable for most applications and track conditions. But by utilising the Blackbox PROgrammer2, the full potential of the 850R can be exploited. In addition to working as an ESC programmer, it functions as a battery monitor and USB firmware update device.

Reedy S-Plus competition spec class motors

Coming from Reedy are the new S-Plus competition spec class electric brushless motors. The heart of the S-Plus is a thin leg stator that allows shorter wire lengths, resulting in great reduction in resistance. The thin-leg stator also reduces the motor’s weight, as handling and chassis turning flexibility improves. Machined parts such as the can, timing cap, back plate, and sensor assembly have been placed on a diet. An entire section of the front plate has been removed to reduce weight with an added benefit of allowing the user to re-position it to lower CG depending on which type of car it is being installed in. A savings of nearly 30g has been achieved. Additionally, the motor’s length has been reduced by more than 2mm, which aids left/right balance and moves mass towards the centre of the chassis. An all-new high-strength, balanced rotor is more powerful that its predecessor. Because the rotor is interchangeable with those in 540-M3 spec motors, a wide range of tuning options are already available. Precision stainless steel ball bearings have been fitted to accommodate high RPM loads with exceptional efficiency and reliability. Three versions, 21.5, 17.5, and 13.5, are available with more versions to follow.

Reedy Sonic 866 & 877 1/8th brushless motors

Coming from Reedy are two new Sonic-series 1/8th scale competition electric brushless motors in the form of the 866 and 877. The Sonic 866, available in two kV versions, is designed for 1/8th eBuggies while its slightly longer brother, the Sonic 877, is intended for 1/8th eTruggy duty. However, motors are interchangeable between chassis types to create a wide range of performance options suitable for a wide variety of track conditions. All versions feature a precision machined case with an integrated heat sink to lower operating temperatures. This results in less fade over the course of a race, longer run times, and increased motor life. Sensored operation results in a smooth and controllable power band, while a powerful 4-pole rotor is supported by precision ball bearings for maximum power output and reliability.

Team Associated & Reedy setup/countertop mats

Coming from Team Associated and available exclusively through their web shop are new Team Associated and Reedy setup/countertop mats. They measure 40x50cm, sport new designs and provide a protective surface for countertops and RC pit tables alike. Preventing stains from nitro fuel, shock oil, dirt and grime, these mats are a great way to protect the work space while creating a factory look. They also work as RC pit table setup boards, providing a nice flat surface for pre-race checks of ride height, camber, and toe. Lightweight for easy travel to and from the racetrack.
